Why not search the titles on their website and see what stores carry them on there?

Unless I did it wrong when I tried, their search does not factor in format. A quick glance at the URL shows that it's only passing a movieId field.

Because their search function doesn't descriminate between HD versions and SD-DVD versions. It searches by title only without regard to being a Blu-Ray or not.

Thus, if you want to check for "Mission Impossible", it will tell you every BB has both the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray version, when this is clearly not true.

So, anyone report on WHAT stores have them? The search function is true...does not discriminate between formats.

Well, the Blockbuster in El Cerrito, CA (Albany) on San Pablo DOES rent Blu-Rays. However, they are pretty behind on the new releases (no "300" and probably won't be one for a few weeks).

But I have not been to the other local BB (downtown Berkeley, CA) since BB started renting Blu-Rays.

Tiny selection at both, but they're there.

I was sort of surprised to see that my local Blockbuster (Shelburne Rd.) in Burlington, VT has a decent selection of Blu-Ray titles. Granted, there seemed to be only one or two copies of each film, but a lot of them were in stock this afternoon. One aisle contained about three fulll sections of Blu-Ray stuff, plus there was a smaller display at the back of the store. I don't have a Blu-Ray player yet but figured I'd contribute to the thread anyway.

When I go to Blockbuster.com and press the Store Locater button and type in my zip code, I get a list of stores and some of the stores had a Blu Ray logo next to some of them if they carried Blu Ray.

Pretty sure this is a new feature because I did the same thing about a month ago and it didn't have that.

Hope this helps.

Yep, makes this thread useless now Oh well, at least BB is getting on the ball. Looks like I have a few stores around me that do Blu-Ray (all but my MAIN store of coursE).
