So I'm listening to this at the moment...

Interesting stuff. Sometimes Farrell seems to channel classic Jane's-style rock, but then there are the weird, heavily Doors-inspired two final songs (especially the final one, "Woman in the Window").

What're all y'all's thoughts?

I would hope the last track sounds like the doors, since they used Jim Morrison's vocals. For the most part I like the album, only 2 tracks I don't really care for...

Ha. That would explain it.

It's funny because I was thinking that it sounded like Perry Farrell trying out a lower register. Also, I didn't think the lyrics were that good...

Then again...

Please tell me one of them is 'Awesome'. That song kills the middle of the record by being the polar opposite of its title.

What really sucks is that PF went on the Stern show and tried to pass off "Wish Upon A Dogstar" as a new tune, and didn't mention one time that it's an exact rehash of the tune he recorded 2 years ago! He said it was a tune from this new band of his and hoped nobody would notice. What a joke!

That is one of them. I can't stand the chorus of AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME.
