I've never heard of Ross. In case you haven't either, here's the store locator link from their website:

No, there aren't any in the Midwest. Ah well....

Picked up Flintstones Season 4, I Robot (1 disc), and Corpse Bride, each for $7.99, plus The Eyes of Laura Mars for $4.99. They also had 4 Brothers, New Jack City, Match Point, Goldmember, Bad Boys (Superbit and regular version), and a half dozen copies of Fantastic 4.

Wow thanks for the tip, I found quite a bizarre assortment of DVDs at my local Ross. They seemed to have a lot dated around 1999, including old versions of Ghostbusters 2, I Know What You Did Last Summer, A Few Good Men, Cliffhanger, Stuart Little (no WS though, so close, I'm looking for that OOP version in WS), etc. I picked up the GB2 as I never got that originally, only in the gift set pack and I wanted the case to go with my original GB1. All about $4.99-$6.99. They also had for $7.99 Match Point, Lord of War, Corpse Bride, WOTW, all WS I think. Lots more stuff, about 6 rows of their rack full, although lots were those fitness DVDs.

Stopped in today and they had a bunch of Ninja Turtles and Dragonball Z DVDs (single discs, about five episodes each), and a few new more movies but nothing special (The Wedding Singer is the only one I remember).
However, I went past the toy section and spotted some Star Wars diecast models -- pretty good sized ones -- for $7. I picked up this Millennium Falcon and an AT-AT.

Last time I was in a Ross I picked up THX for my Dad (got mine last year at Best Buy during one of those buy one get one special edition sales). While I was in there I was also mocking the buggies (as my friend Jess calls them) with the poles on them and some guy randomly decided to talk to me about them. Apparently his son is a lawyer for shopping centers and the like in town and the stores do it for legal reasons. If the owners of the building they rent out see their buggies in the parking lot, they get fined. This way if someone manages to get it out of the store, a store employee can see it from the store and quickly go retrieve it.

A quick update for Ross- recently I have seen Munich -$4.99, Cinderella Man 1disc -$4.99, as well as Poseidon 2-disc w/lobby cards for $6.99, and still some copies of THX 2-disc digipak for $4.99.

I got THX-1138 last Sunday in NW OKC for 4.99, but it was the only one they had. They also had 1 copy of "A History of Violence" for 5.49 but I already had it.

I have to head over there on Saturday anyway, so I'll try to get a list of what's currently in the Portland Gateway store. (A while back, I reported that they didn't have squat, but I've been in a couple of times since then and have noticed their dvd shelves filling back up).

OMG! I just got back from Ross and was about to post that I found The Poseidon Adventure SE for 6.99, but someone already beat me to it.
I debated about getting it, but decided to purchase it when I saw that it included Collectible Lobby Cards, and was a 2-disc set.
I also saw that they had My Fair Lady starring Audrey Hepburn. It was also a 2-disc SE with a lot of features.
They also had the original King Kong movie ($3.99 or $4.99?) restored with special features.
Also a SE of Love Me Tender with Elvis. It also had collectible Lobby Cards. These were in the $6.00 range.
2 copies of At Last the 1948 Show with John Cleese (2-disc set).

Was at Ross (in Newport News Virginia this time) last week and picked up the 2-disc of the Poseidon Adventure for 6.99, 2 copies of THX for 4.99 to sell, another 6.99 copy of My Fair Lady for my sister, and a 4.99 copy of Guarding Tess for my sister's disturbing Nicolas Cage collection.
