This is my first time posting here. I joined Columbia House dvd after wandering accros this site and love it and you guy's! I have ordered and received 37 dvd's (damn good one's) and my average price per dvd shipped is $4.93 so far!! WOW!! Anyway, I stumbled accross something when I returned a item...even after it is credited back you keep the funcash so when they had the $5 funcash I had a idea. I ordered a ton of dvd's (good but cheep ones) which netted me 127 bucks funcash. the very second I placed the order I shopped with my funcash. It had the total and you where allowed to use it even though it said "pending" Ok, the next day I got the email they had shipped my funcash order so I looked at the regular order and it was still pending...so I cancelled the regular order..they cancelled it before it shipped with no problems at all (a true mirracle) but my funcash order arrived just fine and my account is still in perfect standing!! actually I still have 17 funcash left..lol. Anyway, long story short I netted 7 completly free dvds for only shipping and handling. be warned though...if they hadn't of shipped the funcash order first I would have had to pay for the other order....which was ok with me since I wanted them anyway...but all those freebies was too much to pass up. Anyway, it may be worth a try...but be prepared in case it don't work.

Your FunCash will most likely go into a negative balance. You can cancel an account with a negative balance, but you definitely risk being blacklisted by engaging in this kind of shenanigans. Trust me, you don't want to be on CH's blacklist. Since you still have to pay shipping, you're only saving a couple of bucks over the average cost per DVD when you do things legitimately. I personally feel that it's just not worth the risk.

I just checked my order status at CH and the order I cancelled last week no longer even shows up. So, YAY, they got it right! 
I cancelled the order with a phone call rather than an email request, btw. The CSR put me on hold to check, came back on and said she could cancel it...
