Question: If I buy a copy at Best Buy or Circuit City, will they price match Target? I've never done a price match with either of those stores before and was wondering what their policy was. Thanks.
You should have no problem provided those stores have them in stock.
Just bring the Target ad with you.

Guess I'll have to PM. Casino or any sign of $4 DVDs were nowhere to be found.

I just got back from Best Buy and I didn't have any problems price matching. They had both editions in stock at my store and didn't even really look at the ad that closely to see which edition was advertised.

I was able to price match Casino at CC. It was $19.99 so with the Target ad it came out to $2.40 they had a bunch, I picked up 5 for family and friends.

I went to three different stores this morning looking for these and some other titles. I specifically was looking for A Beautiful Mind and Casino. I saw 1 copy of Casino at the first store, nothing else. Second store had none of them. Third store had 1 copy of Casino. I did get rainchecks. I wanted to get a few of each for family.
Turns out Beautiful Mind is just the full screen version. The widescreen has
a different sku and rings up $19.99. Tried to get a raincheck, but even that lists the $19.99 price. Boo-hiss (but not to Speedy

I think people like this are the reason I (and so many others) couldn't find a single copy of Casino at Target to begin with. No hard feelings.

None taken.
I got it at Circuit City, and like I said they had at least 20 + copies.

Got the Widescreen version of A Beautiful Mind. When i got to the register it wouldn't scan...so they did a price check after they asked me how much it was.
4 bucks was too cheap for them to believe me i guess, but thats what they guy on the radio called back and told them it was.

They also had a few more $10 movies that aren't listed here, got PotC too. Was going to get Block Party but they didn't have the unrated version.

Anyone have the complete $4 DVDs list? The ad says more titles in store.

EDIT: My Circuit City was completely wiped out of Casino DVDs.

Not on my ad. The other "additional titles available" notation was only under the $7.50 and $10.00 DVDs

Special vs. Anniversary

Ach, should have been more careful. I didn't realize the Special Edition and the Anniversary edition were different until I opened it up and saw I didn't have the flip-disk. Target will let me trade back but, since it's open, only when they have the Anniversary disk in stock, which they don't.

My target had copies of The Perfect Man for $4, however they were all Full Screen.

Just a heads up that there are a lot of unadvertised $10 deals, I would say about 15 titles at least, the ones I remember are:
Tora Tora Tora (SE)
The Longest Day
Patton
River runs Through it
Legends of the Fall
*all the above are the SE's (the one with the special packaging)
Bewitched
13 Going on 30
(can't remember the rest)

No woes on the "Invasion" box set bonus disc. The extra DVD is in there.

I took the ad to best buy today and found both versions on the shelf. The cashier couldn't believe the price difference and manager's approval was needed. The guy didn't bother to even look at the product or ad, he just punched in his code and I was on my way!

I got one at my Target as well. The only thing that concerns me is the following statement:

Note: This item has limited availability and my not be replenished

If they don't get more, do you think Target would let me get another DVD for 60% off? Their rainchecks no longer have the wording about substituting a similar item.

Well I got my answer today. I had a raincheck for 2 copies of Casino. They checked stock and said that it looked like they wouldn't be getting any more. I asked if I could get two other titles with the same % discount and he said sure. I got Veronica Mars: Season 2 for $18 and SpongeBob SquarePants: Season 4, Vol. 1 for $12. If anyone still has rainchecks on the $4 titles, give it a shot
