i hate myself for being cheap and selling out my hatred of bestbuy for a deal. Walked into bb and they were wiped out on the cheap dvds. I already got what i wanted from CC and there were just a few i wanted to get.
Is there anyway to avoid the shipping on the website for the stuff thats out of stock everywhere for in store pickup? If not, when do they restock during the week?
Thanks

As far as avoiding shipping charges for items ordered on website for in store pickup and stores not have items in stock, I would suppose that BB will call you when then do have them in stock (or am I misunderstanding this question entirely?).
I don't think they waive shipping charges in any case except when you select in store pickup.

A lot of times, BB's super-cheap DVDs carry the "while supplies last" disclaimer, which generally translates to "no rain checks."

Picked up the Special Edition of V for Vendetta for $22.99 and the unrated version of High Tension (a blind buy - good decision?) for $5.99. Also had a $5 reward zone coupon, so pretty good deal, all in all.

Used a $5 reward zone card and $8 and change left on a free gift card for basic version of V. I even ask the lady at check to price match Circuit City and she did without any problem. After everything was said and done I got V for $.92 out of pocket.

AARGH! I went in today to pick up Futurama Volume 3 and 4 and they only had Volume 1 there. According to the website they do have Volume 2 and 4 in the store.
You think I would have realized my mistake in waiting last week went I wanted to get a computer from there.

THe folks over at CAG seem to think that BB's deluxe edition set was not worth the money. The mask is very small from what I have read and not made out of sturdy materials. They also have noted that the mask is fetching fair amount on ebay.

Was this one of the lowest prices for Curb Your Enthusiasm? Because I just blind bought Season 4, and it seemed like a good deal. At least I got a "pop up" DVD case, so I can be entertained for an extra few hours.
Side story: I frustrated the hell out of my friend when I couldn't choose between CYE and the set of Matrix 2, 3 and Animatrix. $15...$22....HBO...Matrix...TV....Movie. And then Karate Kid SE was in the mix for a good bit before I finally settled. These deals are hard work!

gotta disagree with ya there pennypacker. this is one of the best horror flicks to come down the pipe in the last 10 years. i bought it as a blind buy based on dvdtalks 2 seperate highly recommended ratings and have been very satisfied. for that price it's a steal.
here are the dvdtalk reviews (make sure to get the unrated directors cut):

I'm a little confused. Are people saying I should go to the kiosk in Best Buy's B&M before I place an order online?
For example, A Tree of Palme is $6.99 on the web, how much cheaper could it be in store?
Edit- I meant this for the anime thread, but I guess it would apply here as well.

I know it's too late, and I'm only contributing to mixed reviews already, but High Tension was a big disappointment to me.
Cecile de France is a beautiful and talented actress who for the most part picks some great roles, but High (Haute) Tension reflects none of that. Even at $5.99 it's not worth it, unless you don't mind bad DVDs in your collection. (I like to get rid of blind buys I end up not liking. I feel like a person's DVD collection says something about their personality. Crappy DVD's don't say good things.)
It's just another opinion to add to the pile, but I had to let it out.
