Box Set Blowout 2006 @ FYE

FYE has 7 pages of box set sales. It's everything from TV to movie box sets.

I was in a FYE B&M yesterday and they had the Ultimate Oliver Stone Collection for 34.99 (19.99 after mail in rebate), which is ridiculous, even with the lousy packaging.

Some decent deals can be found. Ben-Hur and Gone with the Wind 4-disc set are priced at $14.99 each. Mummy Collector's Set is $10.99. OZ season 1 is $15.99.

Use coupon MCOCT2006 to get 10% off plus free shipping, makes the deal sweeter.

Someone reported getting this with the rebate AND BOGO, but that might be a big YMMV.

Just worked for me yesterday... I got Karate Kid collection for free. I'm going to look for Friday the 13th in store to see if the price is the same. It is also part of BOGO

These appear to be the EXACT same titles that are BOGO in the store. So I doubt these prices will be in store...

I'll go ahead and confirm that this list is the same list that is BOGO instore, and that these prices won't be good in store, nor will fye stores likely pricematch these titles. It may vary from manager to manager.

However, some great deals here for sure. Nip Tuck Season 3 for $22.99! I'm in for that.

how much more expensive are these sets in the stores for the BOGO offer?

basically what i'm asking is would it be cheaper to order 2 sets online or do the BOGO at a store?

For the sets that are heavily discounted (30% or more) online it would most probably be cheaper online (especially considering the 10% off and free shipping code). For the few on the list online that are closer to retail it works out better doing b1g1f instore.

didn't know they have b1g1 free in their stores. too bad since there is no FYE near where I live.

went online and purchased "Gone with The Wind" and "Ben Hur" Collector's edition. I have been waiting to get these two. This is the cheapest that I have seen it.

Where can you put in your backstage pass card # to get the 10% discount...or is that only in store?

Unfortunately, the savings is in-store only. Link to their online FAQ.

You can try the 10% off promotion & free shipping on orders paid with your MasterCard using code "MCOCT2006". Some people have been successful using credit cards other than MasterCard.

Just found my answer in the FAQ. 10% card not good on fye.com...just in store.

Still an excellent deal. Note the deal of the day is South Park Season #7 for $11.99 after rebate! I have been waiting on this to hit $20 so this is a great deal. Note that it is only good today and you have to go to the actual page that the South Park #7 is on so you can print out the rebate form. The good news is...no cutting of the UPC. Just send in the form with the confirmation email!

I didn't realize the 10% off code was for Master Card until after I placed my order. I used American Express and got the discount

Thanks for the response. I looked and there was not a place to put that code in...I guess since I was using a Visa. Still a great deal.

I picked up Gone With the Wind for a little more than $14 shipped. Almost bit last week when Target had it for $17.99, so this is a fantastic price.

ETA: Thanks, OP!

There should still be a place to insert the code on the checkout page at fye.com. I used a Visa and still got the code.

You are right. I just checked. Luckily my order was just 5 minutes old. I hit cancelled it & made a new order. Now my total is $50.06 minus $15 rebate for a grand total of $35.06 for both boxsets! This has made my day.
