M:I-2 2-Disc Special Edition -------> 4/11/06

(DVDFANATIC.COM)While the release of the TV series is still up in the air, Paramount Home Entertainment will add another 2 releases to go along with their new edition of the first film.

They will release a new 2-disc edition of Mission: Impossible 2 (M:I 2) and a 2-pack with both films on April 11, 2006.

More as it's announced.

no surprises here. Lets see if the double dips worth it. 3rd movie looks really good.

I'd be all for upgrading -- especially if it comes with a ticket for pt. 3.

I hope it's added as well. One of the few times where I've seen Tom Cruise pretty laidback.

Let's hope he's not all wacky (ala Oprah) in MI3.

I'll be in as well. Hopefully they'll follow the Final Destination formula and release a 2 pack with a free ticket and bonus DVD

I think he'll be a bad ass like he was in MI1 and Collateral.

Wonder if we're finally going to see Woo's cut of the movie ...something like 40 (or more) minutes were lost from the theatrical...

Well, since I don't own either of the original films, looks like I'm in luck for the boxset!

I already have this, but I may be willing to double dip if the video is improved and the Mission Improbable spoof is still a bonus feature.

More Thandie? I'm in. If it's the same cut, probably not.

I've held off since Hurricane Charley on buying MI 1 & 2 & will buy this box set (hope there is a MI3 ticket too). When they inevitably come out with MI3 & a box set of all 3 I HOPE they make the box available to purchase a la LOTR:EE.

And the Metallica video.

I think the only reason I'd upgrade is if its got the director's cut mentioned above. The current release is pretty loaded already.

Exact same cover art (except for that Widescreen Edition strip at the top, which I can't recall if it was on the top or not of the first release).

Image isn't working for me. However, I don't think I'd upgrade on this one, unless they add a DTS track. The first release was solid. I do like the lower listing price.

I think this proves there will be a release with all three films in a box set once III hits DVD. I think I'll just hold out until Xmas.

Lucky me I guess, I never picked up either the 1st or 2nd one on dvd. Haven't been holding out on them, but I may pick these up in a boxset or what not.
