I just discovered the new project from Laughsmith (who did such a great job with the Fatty Arbuckle DVD collection)...

It's a 32 film/4 dvd collection of silent Our Gang comedies!

I have only seen a handful of the silents, but with the quality of the Arbuckle set I'll be in for this as well.

I am THERE. Not a huge Our Gang fan, but I do enjoy it for historical value. Silents though I am all over.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to type. Not a big fan, but I'm a whore for silents. And they did a kick-ass job on the Arbuckle set.

Laughsmith lost the rights to the Our Gang silents a while ago. The Laughsmith set is not happening.

Per a Laughsmith statement released in March 2010:

Unfortunately, following a protracted legal battle with our distributor,
Laughsmith Entertainment is no longer affiliated in any fashion with the
Our Gang production which it started in 2005. The unfinished materials
are now the property of Mackinac Media, Inc. What that company intends
to do with the materials, if anything at all, is unknown to us at this
time.

We understand that another production company has already started work
on a definitive Our Gang silents collection, a multiple DVD set which
includes all known surviving Pathe era silents, we will post details of
this project as they are made available to us.
