The Gong Show with Dave Attell--7/17/08
Not sure it would have been at the top of my list to redo, but I like Dave Attell, and he seems pretty well suited for this, plus it looks like a lot of 'insult' comics are the judges.
Preview at www.comedycentral.com looks pretty funny as well..
And here are the judges!

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog?
No further info needed, I'm there.
Well if it was on last night, I'm sure it will be repeated.
Refreshing to see a game show without a possible ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!

I think Dave Attell is funny, but last night's episode was pretty bad.
The old "Gong Show" wasn't exactly striving for quality, though, so maybe this new version actually succeeded.

Maybe Attell should go back to do more Insomniacs...

The Gong Show was alright. I hope it gets at least a couple seasons. Comedy Central seems to just toss stuff out if they don't like it right away.

I admit that I laughed a lot at the episode with Triumph, mainly because of Triumph.
And the Queen La Queefa act.... wow, I mean wow:

(And rumors of Hervé Villechaize's death are apparently greatly exaggerated -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herv%C3%A9_Villechaize - that is really him, right?)

Did Hervé Villechaize fake his own death like Elvis or something?
The Gong Show episode says it was him and it definitely looked like him. But there's all these old news items on his "suicide" in 1993 on the Internet.

I think Dave Attell is great but this show isn't doing it for me. I gave it another try because Jim Norton was a judge, but I thought it was still really weak. The original show was cheesy, but interesting. This version seems like they are trying too hard.

Dave Attell was the main draw for me for this show, I'm a big fan of him and his crew. I think this is the only talent show that I'll watch on TV these days, everything is lame compared to it. They need more acts like the beatboxing guy with manboobs.
And more Triumph, though I do look forward to JB Smooth.

@ Andy's Dick when he tried to use it to give the one act a score of "1"
