Thanks for the post, and welcome to DVD Talk!

I'd never heard of these guys, much less ordered from them, but found a couple of members saying nice things over in the Store Forum, so decided to take a shot. May be a mistake, or may be already out of stock, but why not try at that price? Thanks again.

Looked around their site after placing my order and actually found something else I might order (not a deal, just a Pokemon dvd for my son); I see where their shipping policy is apparently to combine orders automatically where the items are available -- anybody know whether they'll adjust the shipping at all (reduce the cost) when they combine orders? If they do I'll probably go ahead and place another order -- otherwise, I'll probably wait until I find something else I also want. Thanks for any additional info.

Thanks for the post. I second both of DahDee's comments above. I ordered a set and looked around the site...they have some pretty good prices on some items.

The same package set is $119.95 at NationalGeographic.com.

Answered my own question on the combined shipping thing by checking their FAQ -- they will combine orders at a reduced shipping cost.

The $12.17 price is "members only" so are all of you members? Or does it not matter?

"members only" means that you have to register, nothing special.

DVDpacific is my favorite DVD e-store.
The best prices around and low shipping cost for
international customers like myself. Fast too. It took 4 working
days to Europe last time I order.

from their FAQ's

Q: Why are in stock items showing as back ordered in my account?
A: Please allow enough time for your order to be processed and updated to web after submission of your order. Generally within 3 to 12 hours Monday to Friday ONLY.

So, it sounds like especially on weekends the stock isn't updated very quickly. The next FAQ question is about backorders, which may become useful on Monday when all of our orders become that!

P.S. never ordered from them before - but does anyone else think its funny that a company called "DVDPACIFIC" is actually located in FLORIDA? That's florida, the state on the Atlantic Ocean, at least since the continents moved to their present location. Maybe they are a really old company?

Thanks for the heads up - great deal.

I've only ordered a few times from them, and never had a problem.

I wonder if they are first order in, first order out? Or will they just cancel everyone's order

I wish NG would convert some more of their VHS collection, Bob Ballard videos would be nice on DVD.
