one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies....

why hasn't this made it to dvd?

any ideas?

Yeah. Good movie. I'd like to see the test audience version of the film that had Angus' gay dads in it and explored more of the story of him trying to fit in by changing his appearance.

I also am waiting for this on DVD and actually did a search online yesterday looking for any news that might suggest this is coming out soon. We've been waiting so long for this we better get some damn good version but I fear in the end we will get a bare bones disc. I will get it either way. This one and Radio Flyer top my want list now that so much else has come to DVD by now.

And the fact that this was filmed at my high school in Owatonna, MN make it a required buy for me!

If New Line releases this in a movie-only edition, it won't do the film any justice.

They need to put both versions of the film out on DVD. Patrick Read Johnson's original cut of the film (which ran supposedly somewhere near three hours in length) and the theatrical cut.

I don't even consider this a guilty pleasure -- such a great film all the around. And yes, I would love this movie to finally see the light of day on DVD.
