How can I tell if that is the back cover for the DVD or the Blu-Ray version?

Ah, and according to early reviews, the DTS English track IS present, but not listed on the back, and also, being marketed as a 2 disc edition, but there is a 3rd disc....

I'm really looking forward to this. I sold my old copy a few months back for $20 on eBay because I knew this was coming out. I've been dying to watch it again.

The third disc is for the digital copy.

As someone who doesn't own Nightmare in any incarnation, it's certainly a no-brainer purchase for me.

I've got the old special edition and still watch it a couple of times a year. I'm probably going to buy a blu-ray player before the year's out and this is making me wish I had the funds to get it right now.

I can't tell if it's my eyesight or just a bad picture but it looks like it's listed as "Tru HD" on the back of that cover. Odd.

No, you're right, it's a typo. I have the Blu-ray in front of me, and the format is misspelled as "Tru HD" on both the case and the slipcover.

Please oh please let this be true.

It's not like they don't already have a DTS track mixed and ready to go. It should be included.

Where are these "early reviews"?

I got it the 2 Disc C.E. I can verify it is definately anamorphic & definately comes with DTS. Just got finished watching the film, which to me, looks & sounds fantastic! Haven't dug into the extras yet, but can't wait.

I found a short review at DVD Verdict.

Just picked up my copy of the Ultimate Edition with the bust. This thing is massive! I think it was well worth the 120 I spent. Comes packed in a coffin window box and everything.

Had an issue at Walmart. Picked up the standard 2 disc dvd and disc one was completely scratched up while still attached to its hub. Not sure how that happened. The digital copy had a broken hub and wouldnt stay in. Got a replacement and the other one was good to go. Cant wait to check it out. Did anyone else notice that half of the plastic slipcovers were really scratched up bad? At walmart they were at least like that.

I was staring at it for a few minutes. I was tempted, but I couldn't justify paying $129.99 for the DVD no matter how cool the bust was. I did buy the BD, however.

They had about 5 of the Ultimate Collector's Edition sets at Best Buy and they had two at Future Shop. Future Shop was selling it for $149.99, though.

as I recall it was 119 at Best Buy, as I mentioned in another NBC thread - I totallly buckled under pressure and bought it.
