It's on Ebay so it will end up at like 85 dollars plus shipping.

People "win" more on Ebay.

I couldn't hold out anymore and picked up Matador, Slevin, Shaun of the Dead and Pianist for just under $40. I can't pass up less than $10 per HD disc, dead format or no.

SHould I just go to the cashier?
Hey, I just went to my local BB here in North Las Vegas (in case anybody lives here.. BB off 215 & N decatur) and as soon as I walked in I asked an associate if they price matched their website, and she asked a manager and she said yes.. so I used there very own search computers and browsed though all their HD DVD's from lowest price to highest... found the ones I wanted that were 9.99 and 10.49, and then would walk over to the shelf and look for it. They still have a crap load of HD DVD's in this store.. I have been looking at this forum since the start and heard good and bad stories about BB honoring their own website prices.. so I finally gave it my own try and I got lucky!! So they had about 75-80% of all the movies that were on clearance on their website in this particular store. Several movies online were back ordered, or out of stock... and they still gave me the online price..needless to say, I went up to the counter with 10 HD DVDs for price match..and the girl there went to a desk and found each one and printed out every a page for every movie!! so they were really nice and I got all for 9.99-10.49!!! I also purchased the 3 pack of Will Farrel for 34.00-Old school,Anchor Man,Blades of Glory.. So, you just have to get lucky and find a store with cool managers and sales clerks.. Will definately go back when more titles drop to 9.99..
so to answer your question..
YOU HAVE TO GO TO CUSTOMER SERVICE EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE PRINT OUTS BECAUSE PRICE MATCHES ARE ONLY DONE THERE AND A MANAGER HAS TO OVERRIDE THE PRICES... but I am sure they will appreciate the printouts.. Less work for them.. might be the reason alot of BB's are not honoring the prices..because they are too lazy.. so would be great idea to come in prepared!!

i went to the crappy bb near my work and they had 3 of the 8 10.49 titles i wanted (Elizabeth, Apollo 13, 12 monkeys) and i took them and the printouts to the cashier...he had to call a manager over to put in her id to make the price change, but otherwise they didn't care two shits. pretty funny considering they all had $24.99 stickers on them

Kinda like finding a woman with three tits and four vaginas, but I agree.

thats what i said.. the sales associate on the floor said the price online is the 30% off...and i said 30% off would be 17.50 for this 24.99 movie...your online price is 10 bucks...she was like oh, thats when she asked her manager if they would honor their online price..which she replied sure.. SO, you cant beat a 10.00 HD movie!!

DVDEmpire just started a 40% off sale on HD-DVDs...40% off list price, that is. WOW! What a bargain! DVDs that have been 10 bucks for a while now are a whopping $18--but, hey, if you buy 3, you get free shipping!

Either these guys are left with stock, or they are trying to squeeze their last buck out of HD DVD titles before they send them back for further recycling into the retail abyss.
