Yowza! Thanks for posting, I made a big order. I wonder if they'll actually honor those prices.

Wow, bigjim25, great find! Now I know why I kept my ch.com account open after those changes they made earlier!

Any chance someone might be willing to pick up a few titles for me if I kick in a little for their troubles? It's only 5 items, about $20 total.

Thanks for the list! It stinks that I have almost everything on it of interest to me. However, I did pick up a few titles to "fulfill" and will manage to come out at $4/title if I were to cancel (but I won't just in case something like this occurs again).

Every time I get sucked back in I remember why I stopped buying from Columbia House. I placed my order last Tuesday (one week ago) and last night I checked my order history page and I was getting the all ***** for prices. Now today, that order has vanished completely.

I've sent them a message, so who knows.............

When I saw American Dreams for $5.39...it caused me to join and pick up my three movies for the $10.00. I ordered American Dreams yesterday once I received my welcome email. I sold my old copy of AD on ebay a couple of years back for about $50.00 and change. I could not believe how much I paid yesterday for Season 1...wish they would release the other two seasons. Anyhow....very tempted to buy Sliders. I really enjoyed the first couple of seasons however lost track of this series once Sci-Fi picked it up.

Good luck to you. I would think you'll have success getting the order reinstated or at the very least you can place the same order again. I'd be concerned if this was a sale connected to a code and trying to explain that to a CSR. In this case, these DVDs have just been lowered in price.

Well, it turns out the credit card I had on file had expired, but rather than tell me about it, they just cancel my order and don't say anything about it. I updated the card and placed it again, but you are right, if it were a special deal, I would have been out of luck.

Just got the Ace Ventura set in the mail. Thanks again for posting this deal. $3.99? Crazy. They couldn't've made much money on this.

Hope I don't get anyone too excited by bumping this.

I had been checking ch.com every 2-3 weeks to see if there were any other sets that had encountered significant price drops, similar to what we experienced back in May. Up until the last time I looked, you could still order the sets from bigjim's post (#221) for the super-low prices. When I logged in a few moments ago, everything was back up to "normal" price. Strange...

Oh well.

Any decent deals that we should jump on before it shuts down?

Re: CH.com Sale Offer Codes, Part I (not to be confused with Columbia House)

I came here to start a RIP Ch.com thread, intending to get all kinds of folks worked up thinking Columbia House was going down.

Got the e-mail this afternoon as well. I've still logged in every so often to see if there's been any crazy low prices like we've witnessed before. I'll look back fondly at the few times we've scored some great deals through ch.com.

One statement in the e-mail has me curious:

You will hear much more from us as we get closer to July 1st.
Maybe there will be something offered to members before they close up shop.

I was surprised to get this email also. I had forgotten that I still had a ch.com open.
