I bought POTC2 at Wal-Mart yesterday, and I got a free t-shirt.

Yes, it is pretty awesome. It actually DOES look 3-D. I wonder how "limited" it is.

Is the Best Buy bonus DVD any good?

Best Buy doesn't ship internationally so I couldn't get it - I am thinking about buying it on eBay if it's worth it.

It's about another 20 something minutes of behind the scenes stuff that they couldn't squeeze in to the 2 disc. I'm sure if Disney decides to double dip with a 3 disc edition, these featurettes will be on there.

Not really. It's nice to have the trailers but the other stuff is probably in one of the longer 2-disc featurettes. Very brief and it seems like it appeared on the Disney Channel or something before the movie was in theatres. Don't waste your time.

i was just going to post about this...what 3-D effect? i keep staring and staring and i don't see any cool effect (is it like those dot paintings as i can't see those either?). i see the shiny shiny, but no 3-D 3-D.

A funny note about the "3-D" cover. I was looking at it, trying to see the 3D part, and there was a person standing behind The Flying Dutchman in the green part. I looked at for a second or two, and was like "Oh.. That's me!"

There is one big bit of news in the industry today, which is that Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest sold a whopping 5 million copies on DVD on just its first day of release. Industry analysts are expecting it to be the biggest release of the year when all is said and done.

I think that was higher than Cars' first day sales.

Does this mean we'll still get an upgraded version down the road?
