Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Prices

I don't know if this is posted elsewhere, but CC also has a promotion on in which you can get the single-disc Harry Potter for free if you sign up for a Rewards card. (Actually you can get 13.99 off any movie, or presumably anything, if you sign up for a card.) Of course, you have to stand around for about a half hour until you get approved and they go through all the arcane machinations, so be forwarned.
During the interminable wait, I became friends with a woman who had just wanted to make a quick stop to get her daughter the movie, and with an older man who was purchasing the 2-disc set because he didn't want the theaters to tell him which scenes he could or couldn't watch.

Well, I'd like to thank the original poster that posted about bestbuy.com's price mistake ($14.99 for 2-disc, but pictured the 1-disc so everyone was saying it wouldn't work)...everyone was saying it wasn't a real "deal" and shouldn't have been posted.
Turns out...I printed out the mistake, brought it to my Circuit City...got the 2-disc Harry Potter for $14.99 with the awesome lithograph.

I am very happy with the quality of the lithograph and the CC $13.99 price. CC has a better rewards program than best buy and its free. CC is always cheaper than BB too. I always laugh when I hear about all the crazy shit people do just to get a reward zone point. Freakin' halarious. Not sure why people still shop best buy, I know I only shop there when something is just too good to pass up, like the sienfelds for $12.50, but never ever new releases. All the pricematching and haggling for a reward zone point is ridiculous.

with-purchase Reward Zone > credit card with 29% interest and 'reward points' anyday.
especially when I haven't paid for the RZ in three years.

As I pay for most things at BB with cash anyway, a CC CC
wouldn't be so bad. It'd just be something I have to mind every month. Depending on the benefit, it might pay off.

I have a clarification on one of the Best Buy deals. The 2 for $20 actually rings up as Harry Potter and the (insert your choice of first three films) at the sales price of $8.99, then the 1 disc Goblet of Fire has 4.99 taken off the sales price, putting it at $10 even. This brings the sale to an actual $18.98, slightly sweeter than the listed $20, for those who are pinching pennies, and (like me) just hadn't gotten around to picking up all of the other Potters.

I just got home after doing the same thing! Thanks a ton for the link man. Id rather pay $14 on the 2 Disc and save $8 than get some free junk.
Intersting enough, I tried CC first since I had a gift card and wanted to see if theyd match their email. But they said it could be fake or forged (accusing me?) but they gave to to me for $17. Interesting.....
BB did it no questions asked

No problem concerning the link. I'm glad someone else was able to benefit from it too.
I also went to CC first and they were actually sold out of the 2-disc version. When I talked to some guy about the price, he said they wouldn't pricematch the e-mail anyway because it was a mistake. I told him that it wasn't my fault the CC e-mail people don't know what they were doing, but he didn't care. Either way, there was no product for me to buy so I had no reason to continue arguing.
BB came thorough for me so I could care less now.
