Re: Help me identify a horror movie please

Sounds like Desperation with Ron Perlman. I think it was a made-for-TV movie based on a Stephen King book.

Re: The Kid (2019, D: D'Onofrio) S: Hawke, Pratt, DeHaan, Schur, George, D'Onofrio

I’m always down for a good western and I liked The Magnificent Seven so I’ll check it out.

Still waiting for Dane DeHaan NOT to creep me out.

Re: When on DVDtalk, are you using a PC, tablet, or phone?

Over the last few years I’ve gone to slowly started to use my phone more and more. At this point, I use it almos 100% of the time. Usually while I’m relaxing on the couch in front of the tv.

Not...

I wonder if “dark” means “we’re going to filter the shit out of the color so it looks like a muddy, sepia tone mess.”

Re: The Highwaymen (2019, D: Hancock) S: Kevin Costner, Woody Harrelson -- Netflix

Looks good.

I never really cared for the Bonnie & Clyde romance stories so it’ll be a nice change of pace to see the other side things.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Movies sometimes contain minor inaccuracies

Agreed. I like to read about movie mistakes and get a kick out of when camera equipment or funny bloopers are found in movies. But I hate when I read about mistakes for a movie listing things like...

Re: XLIII Random Pic Thread, The Knights Who Say "Ni!" edition.

 Although, I’m guessing he’s sitting in the same location on his couch that Alan sits when he watches movies due to all the clutter on the actually seating area.

Re: What's your unpopular opinion?

Shit, if everything was free what’s to stop us ALL from opening up our own business. I would start an ice cream shop down the street and would be built with solid gold and look like the Taj Mahal!

Re: Chuck E. Cheese’s “recycled slices” ?

 I don’t know where I got the idea but I thought I was pretty damn smart for figuring it all out. Apparently, insanely loud, chaotic, children’s pizza joints, were where the coke head yuppies of...

Re: Chuck E. Cheese’s “recycled slices” ?

^ I don’t think I’ve been to a Chuck E. Cheese since it was Showbiz Pizza either. I remember in the mid to late 80s it kept switching back and forth from Chuck E. Cheese to Showbiz every few years....

Re: Nine Men From Now (D: Schrader)

First Reformed was very good. I look forward to this one. The plot synopsis sort of reminds me of Hell or High Water with a Shrader touch. I’m down.

Re: Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

I like what Pence says after the loud cheers died down. His line about “If you owe debts, pay your debts...”

 Does Pence realize who he’s Vice President for?

Re: Bohemian Rhapsody (2018, D: Singer or Fletcher) S: Rami Malek -- Queen biopic

I thought the same thing but then I looked up their heights online after I finished watching the movie and found that Remy Malek is only an inch shorter than Freddie Mercury.

Re: Papillon (2018) -- Remake starring Rami Malek & Charlie Hunnam

Watched it last night. A very good movie and from what I’ve seen of his so far, definitely Charlie Hunnam’s best performance to date.

I enjoyed the Steve McQueen version as well but this one sits...

Re: What is the appeal of Funko Pop

That’s what I thought too. I considered the Cheers figures but thought that as soon as they were out of the box I would just spend all my time explaining to other people what characters they were.

Re: Pirates of the Carribean 6 - News, rumors, etc.

I wonder how Guy Ritchie keeps getting work. The dude made a couple good low budget flicks early in his career and has made mostly mediocre dreck since then. He’s been given the talent and the money...
