Re: Kirstie Alley dead at 71

It’s funny to think that there was another side of the week with a completely different staff at Cheers.

Maybe that’s a good idea for a sequel (side-quel) series. Cheers: The Waking Hours.

Re: Untitled Ghostbusters sequel (2023, D: Kenan)

Ghostbusters 2016 wasn’t THAT bad of a movie to warrant all the vitriol it received. It’s also not a very good movie.

My biggest problem with it, aside from not being very funny or utilizing the...

Re: What are your favorite old-timey Christmas movies?

I didn’t see It’s a Wonderful Life all the way through until I was in my mid-20s. I had seen the famous ending (from about the point that George was hopeless and going to kill himself). I always...

Re: What are your favorite old-timey Christmas movies?

I only knew that White Christmas was introduced in Holiday Inn because Bing then unapologetically re-used it in White Christmas.

I’ve never seen it. Just ended up throwing out a few educated guesses.

Re: Kirstie Alley dead at 71

I recall one pretty good gag where Rebecca was hiding her smoking from Sam and she hid a lit cigarette in her mouth. Then when Sam left, she flipped it out and started smoking again. I remember being...

Re: Untitled Ghostbusters sequel (2023, D: Kenan)

There’s also a 5 years difference in the two movies. Similar “fanboy” movies from 2016 are up to 100,000 ratings as well. Deadpool, SW: Rogue One, Justice League all have the same number of ratings....

Re: Online Movie Games: Framed, Moviedle, Posterdle, etc.

Kind of an odd sequence to those Frames. If frame 4 or 5 don’t give it away, I’m not sure how frame 6 will help any.

Re: Untitled Ghostbusters sequel (2023, D: Kenan)

I’d be all for giving Hudson a starring role, bringing back Aykroyd for a smaller role (maybe have him come to town to help Winston get the new Ghostbusters up and running or have him discover...

Re: Kirstie Alley dead at 71

Sad news. I always preferred Rebecca over Diane and loved how her character softened over the years to be one of the gang.

She was also great in the Tom Berenger/Sidney Poitier thriller Shoot to...

Re: Mickey 17 (2024, D: Bong Joon Ho) - S: Pattinson

All the wise cracks on the first 10 posts no longer make any sense thanks to a minor title change.

Re: Untitled Ghostbusters sequel (2023, D: Kenan)

Coon and Rudd are now married and living in New York, helping Winston launch the next wave of Ghostbusters.

I can see that working out alright.

Re: You People (2023, D: Barris) S: Murphy, Hill, London, Long, Louis-Dreyfus, Duchovny

Hard to tell from that clip but I didn’t have a problem with Eddie Murphy (or Nia Long). They seems to be playing it right. Jonah Hill seemed like he was in a completely different movie with his...

Re: Top Gun: Maverick (Kosinski, 2022) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I didn’t realize until just now that the guy who played “Bob” is Bill Pullman’s son.

The movie is still awesome and now that we’re near the end of the year, I can see this doing pretty well at the...

Re: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023, D: Mangold) S: Ford - News, rumors, etc.

She tracks Indy to the island and reaches out to hand him his whip. Indy takes the whip and tosses it over his shoulder. He then dies or some shit.
