Re: El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (Gilligan, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Interesting. I think Breaking Bad is the best TV show ever, and BCS is awesome, but I didnt care for this at all. It just all felt useless and not extremely engaging. And exactly zero people in the...

Re: Emergence (ABC)

Really digging this show. Finally a show in this genre that seems to have learned to have an overall narrative and to not hold off on reveals.

That said this show is really well written with great...

Re: Succession (HBO) -- Series Thread -- S: Cox, EP: McKay, Ferrell, C: Armstrong

Great episode last night. Still think this show is largely about Greg. Tom testifying was awesome. The dialogue between the witness and Shiv was extremely strong and really showed how hard it would...

Re: Carnival Row (Amazon Prime) S: Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne -- premieres 8/30/19

I enjoyed this. Not perfect and the season is sort of standalone, but I think it is the type of show with the stage set can become much more compelling in Season 2.

Re: Game of Thrones spinoffs in development at HBO

HBO seriously underestimating the animus the last 2 seasons have created in Game of Thrones viewers. And this plot reads in big picture as sort of exactly the same show.

Re: Succession (HBO) -- Series Thread -- S: Cox, EP: McKay, Ferrell, C: Armstrong

If anything this episode confirms Greg gets everything, but Season 2 has been remarkably compelling.

Re: Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Oakland Raiders (HBO) -- premieres 8/6/19

Tonights episode was one of the best Hard Knocks episodes in quite a while.

Re: The Boys (Amazon) C: Rogen, Goldberg, Kripke -- based on the comic -- S: Karl Urban -- premieres 7/26

If I remember there was no "setup" but a later reveal showed the truth, but I could be wrong. Will need to watch again. Best super hero show ever IMO. One of my favorite shows ever as well.

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3

People forget that raiding really wasn't much if almost any of the allure of the original WOW. For those that view WOW through a strict raiding and gear prism, they will not enjoy WOW classic, But...

Re: The Boys (Amazon) C: Rogen, Goldberg, Kripke -- based on the comic -- S: Karl Urban -- premieres 7/26

I think he is terrifying because there is almost an expectation that is super heroes existed in the actual world, it is very likely some would be like Homelander. Scary indeed.

Re: The Boys (Amazon) C: Rogen, Goldberg, Kripke -- based on the comic -- S: Karl Urban -- premieres 7/26

I don't think that is obvious at all. In fact, I think they made it slightly vague on purpose. My take from the scene in question is actually the opposite of yours, but I am sure we will find out...

Re: Succession (HBO) -- Series Thread -- S: Cox, EP: McKay, Ferrell, C: Armstrong

Pretty terrific opening to Season 2. Season 2 reviews are extremely strong. Really good cinematography in first episode too.

Re: Yellowstone (Paramount) -- Season 2 Thread -- premieres 6/19/19

Well, shit got real. That horse was gorgeous. As has been said before it is the most simultaneously boring and enthralling show, maybe ever. But that ending was brutal, unexpected and fantastically...

Re: The Boys (Amazon) C: Rogen, Goldberg, Kripke -- based on the comic -- S: Karl Urban -- premieres 7/26

Here I am thinking I am all done with anything comic books and I watch this fucking show and I absolutely loved every second. Possibly because it is an anit-super hero show, but still it just felt...

Re: Euphoria (HBO) -- S: Zendaya -- premieres 6/16/19

It seemed to imply that the overdoes did not happen at the beginning of the season, but actually at the end (after all we saw happen). At least that is what I got out of it. It was confusing,...

Re: Future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects discussion thread - News, rumors, etc.

My interest is almost entirely gone. I might watch some for free on TV some day but none of these movies really interest me at all anymore. For me, movies are way more than just super heroes and I'd...

Re: Euphoria (HBO) -- S: Zendaya -- premieres 6/16/19

Yeah this episode made me really angry and upset, which is exactly what it intended to do.

Hopefully the police officer listens to her fur and figured it out

Re: Glass (Shyamalan, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Just saw this. I think the concepts in the movie are better than the actual movie itself. The ending where I expected a bunch of super heroes to show up to the station was sort of a WTF? I liked the...

Re: Cats (2019, D: Tom Hooper) S: Swift, McKellen, Corden, Hudson

Wow that's just horrid. Hudson's (yes many will like it, I cant stand her ) singing of Memory is awful in my opinion and the movie just looks even worse than the play which was horrible. You couldn't...

Re: Is the Disney entity the biggest in movies?

From a box office standpoint probably, but I have almost no interest in any of their movies. I am done with the super hero genre (I may never go to see one again), don't like the Pixar movies, and...

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E06) -- 79 minute Series Finale -- “The Iron Throne” -- 5/19/19

I have been thinking about the last couple seasons and I think the problem really is simple. And actually the opposite of what many people think. It sucked because they tried to stick to GRRMs arc...
