Re: Regal Unlimited -- Movie Subscription service -- To Launch July 2019

I disagree. Even factoring in occasional Tuesday discounts and matinees, if you see an average of 2.5 movies per month now, you would come out ahead with the service (assuming your area is in the...

Re: Regal Unlimited -- Movie Subscription service -- To Launch July 2019

You could always cancel the card on the account and get a new one from your bank / card issuer. But, if you did that, your odds of being allowed to sign up again later(when things presumably get...

Re: Toy Story 4 (Cooley, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

The odds of finding Bo in a random town may be a reasonable quibble, but the voice box idea was pretty spot on. We’ve known for years that Woody was a late 50s toy. Gabby Gabby was actually taken...

Re: Toy Story 4 (2019, D: Cooley, A: Hanks, Allen) - News, Rumors

Box Office Mojo is predicting a $165M domestic opening weekend, but Fandango is reporting that presales have outpaced Incredibles 2, which bowed with $182M.

Also, the Thursday evening shows pulled...

Re: Toy Story 4 (Cooley, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

It may be the best of the four, in terms of the depth of the story, but it was, by far, the most bittersweet ending.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (The Russo Brothers, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Except she still had long hair when she brought Stark and Nebula to Earth. So she kept the same look for 25 years but changed it between the snap and the “five years later” events.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (4/26/19) D: The Russo Bros.

Based on reports from the 25 international markets that have opened ($169 million, including $107 million from China), Hollywood Reporter is now projecting close to $950 million global opening...

Re: Shazam! (Sandberg, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I went to see it a second time yesterday, and I liked even more this time. And everyone in the theater loved it as well.

One thing I noticed this time that I absolutely loved was at the end, when...

Re: Shazam! (Sandberg, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Loved every minute of this movie. I don’t think I would change a thing.

And the story had a lot of heart - more than any of the previous DC movies, with the possible exception of Aquaman.

I...

Re: The Christmas Chronicles (2018, D: Kaytis) S: Kurt Russell as Santa Claus -- Netf

Best new spin on the character since Tim Allen’s original “The Santa Clause”.

It was thoroughly enjoyable, and Kurt Russell was awesome as the not-so-fat man.

From what I understand, they are...

Re: Doctor Who (BBC America) -- Series 11 Discussion Thread -- Premieres 10/07/18

It was OK, but still not great. At times it felt like a History Channel docu. I hope this doesn't become the trend of the show, browbeating us about the plight of oppressed people.

The only really...

Re: The Grinch (2018) V: Cumberbatch

I am looking forward to it. Even though the direction and writing talent is different, there is enough of the "Despicable Me" influence in the project that I think it will be fun.

re: Sinemia -- Movie Pass competitor [Update: DEAD]

That's great if you have an AMC near you. Many don't, and many theaters don't offer ticket sales through any online tool. It seems kind of foolish to exclude those theaters.

re: Sinemia -- Movie Pass competitor [Update: DEAD]

Also, if they are completely cardless, then box office purchases will no longer be possible. So, if a theater does not support Fandango or Atom, they are no longer an option.

re: MoviePass... would it work for you? [UPDATE: DEAD]

So your answer to perceived fraud is fraudulent behavior. There is more than one flaw in your "logic".

Re: Is the G rating dead?

Psycho was released in 1960, and then given an R rating many years later.

I remember seeing photos of some theater marquees, even in 1960, that listed it as 'M' For Mature, despite the lack of a...

Does that apply to all advance purchases, or just those made through services such as Fandango?

re: The Flash (D: Muschietti) - S: Wonder Woman

Having Wonder Woman in that list wouldn't (or shouldn't) have surprised anyone, considering that she is one of the Big Three. But Aquaman? That is a big surprise. And lets not forget Shazam. That...

Re: Doctor Who (BBC America) -- Series 11 Discussion Thread -- Premieres 10/07/18

One thing I didn’t like was the exterior changes to the TARDIS. One of the premises of the show since day 1 has been that the ship was stuck in its current appearance due to a broken chameleon...

Re: Best mesh Wi-Fi router system?

I’ve had the Orbi RBK53 system in my ~3000 sq ft house since last November. The first set had a defective satellite that was causing all kinds of problems, but the replacement has been nearly...
