Re: Fargo (FX) -- S: Chris Rock -- Season 4 Thread -- Premieres 9/27/20

Season 2.

A few people I have discussed the show with totally missed the (as yet unconfirmed) connection. Season 2 was 5 years ago with another separate season sandwiched in-between so I can't...

Re: Fargo (FX) -- S: Chris Rock -- Season 4 Thread -- Premieres 9/27/20

Without saying too much, I thought Rabbi Milligan rang a bell, and I was right. If it doesn't sound familiar to you I'll let you decide if you want to dig deeper.

Also, the Fargo mob guy they are...

Re: 2020 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 6

And hosting a game against a team that wins 4 or 5 more games than them. They have a legitimate chance to win the division with a 6-10 record, which would beat out the 2010 7-9 Seahawks for worst...

Re: Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal -- adult swim -- 5 part series

This show continues to be incredible. The pacing, the colors, the sound, just fantastic storytelling. How does something that at a glance appears to be so simple come off so epic?

Re: College Football 2020: Week 7

UCF's 798 yards of offense against Memphis today is third most ever gained by a losing team. (record is 854—Texas Tech losing 66-59 to Oklahoma, Oct. 22, 2016)
Also only the sixth game in the last...

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion

Ken Jennings was a fun story until he became Ken Jennings, Inc. I would have preferred someone else. Alex is not the GOAT because he is a master of arcane trivia and timing a button push.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was misquoted. "Martyr" sounds a lot like "murderer."

Re: Fargo (FX) -- S: Chris Rock -- Season 4 Thread -- Premieres 9/27/20

I've been away for a while but the DVR kept chugging and I just caught up the last couple episodes. I am enjoying it quite a bit and second all of your thoughts on the season so far.

I kept away...

Re: 2020 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 5

Noooooo!

I mean...Yesssss!

The Pro Bowl doesn't bother me, and I always watch a couple minutes of it until I remember, "Oh yeah, this is what the Pro Bowl is now" and delete the recording. But...

Re: Eli Roth's History of Horror (AMC) -- documentary series -- Premieres 10/14/18

Thanks for the thread bump, I missed that they were doing a second season.

I agree they miss some obvious films in the categories they cover, but Id rather have them go deeper into a few than...

Re: Fear the Walking Dead (AMC) -- Season 6 -- Premieres 10/11/20

This was what this show should be. It was helped tremendously by the absence of the bloated and mostly terrible supporting regular cast of characters.

Those were actually two interesting...

Re: The Walking Dead: World Beyond another Walking Dead spinoff

What audience do they imagine this show is even supposed to appeal to? No one over the age of eleven, that's for sure. The kindest things I can say about the show is they have the pre-middle school...

Re: 2020 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 5

I understand going for it. If you get 6 inches the game is over. But Cody Barton made a fantastic play and the Vikings defense let them march 94 yards. Wilson didn't look great in the 4th quarter,...

Re: 2020 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 5

Brady looked extremely pedestrian on the last two drives.

Fun game to watch though low scoring as it was.

And Belichick would know what down it was.

Re: The Walking Dead (AMC) -- Season 10 Thread (Beware of Spoilers if you care) -- Premieres 10/6/19

Re: GLOW (Netflix) -- Season 3 Thread -- premieres 8/9/19

Too bad they couldn't do a one or two part finale to wrap the series, something like the "Christmas Special" one-offs they frequently do for BBC shows. It could have been a "5 years later" kind of...

Re: 2020 NFL Regular Season Thread -- Week 4

Re: The Walking Dead (AMC) -- Season 10 Thread (Beware of Spoilers if you care) -- Premieres 10/6/19

It was a bit disjointed, but overall pretty well done if not fairly predictable. I mean, this was the obvious solution about two dozen episodes ago.

At least it's over. I'm actually curious to see...

Re: Huh... nobody cares about S23 of South Park?
