Re: INXS - Kick (30th Deluxe Edition, 3CD's/1 Blu-Ray)

Shabooh Shoobah is their best album to me. Kick is their most popular album no doubt but the best? No way, not to me. That version they did of "The Loved One" sucks compared to the earlier one they...

Re: The VINYL Thread!

Here's some things I've purchased over the last few months that I'm currently playing. Thought this was a bit more fun than a list.

Re: The Women's March on DC 1.21.17(..and the rest of the world)

You're talking about David Icke with the second part and I forget the part where I called him a hero? Can you help me find that? I enjoy some of his videos OMG!!!!

Re: 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees

Their only good stuff is those first 2 albums I agree. They were fine live. Watch the Musikladen video of them; the drummer is very sick and you'd never even know. I think as far as "new wave" bands,...

Re: The VINYL Thread!

I think there's a pretty good chance it will be unfortunately. My albums were okay, except the Black Album which got dog eared a bit. When I got the Beatles Mono, Queen Studio Collection, Jam box,...

Re: The VINYL Thread!

The Kinks set arrived from popmarket. Packaging was a joke - it was just stuck in a tight box with no packing materials around it so it got dented on the corners of course. Set looks really nice...

Re: The VINYL Thread!

I didn't get an Orbit, but I have a Teac TN 300 which seems adequate enough for a decent turntable. Audio Technica LP 120 is another one which people seem to like. I was a bit disappointed to find...

Re: The VINYL Thread!

I don't know what I'd pick as best psych album, there's so many. The first album and Easter Everywhere by the 13th Floor Elevators deserve a nod. Pretty Things SF Sorrow should be up there too.

I...

Re: The VINYL Thread!

Another thing I grabbed was the Queen Studio box. Again something I never intended to buy but for a bit over $200 it was a must buy to me.

Re: The VINYL Thread!

I know the discography is a complete mess and very confusing. Aftermath in the box and some others are supposed to sound superb. I always liked Satanic Majesties but unfortunately this set doesn't...

Re: Name 1 punk band and 1 metal band that are glaring omissions from the Rock n Roll

I tried to think of something but the idea of a "punk" act being put into a pretentious museum seems like the antithesis of punk. At least Johnny Rotten had the right idea when the Sex Pistols were...

Thanks for this idea. There's actually one in San Francisco and another in Silicon Valley so I'll ask and see what they quote me. I've only ever had one painting sent in a wood crate. I've had...

Re: Freight Shipping Advice?

I was aware it would be be a pain to ship and I figured it would be expensive so I just factored it into the cost. I don't regret it all and once it safely arrives then headache over.

Re: Freight Shipping Advice?

Yes Pakmail said they could only mail it freight and it would be $1,400+ dollars. That's the only shipper I have right now willing to do it. I emailed other pakmails in the area and none of them...
