Re: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Netflix) -- premieres 10/26/18

Just binged all of Season 1 and the Christmas haha special.

Good stuff, but the episodes were way too long. Make them 45 minutes and call it a day.

It's odd these were all rated TV-14...

Re: The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018, D: The Coen Brothers) -- Netflix

I really liked it, but the thought The Gal That Got Rattled went on way, way too long. I think it was more than 30 minutes.

Re: Homecoming (Amazon) S: Julia Roberts -- From the creator of Mr. Robot -- 11/2/18

Rolled through the first 4 episodes of 10. Really good so far. You have to pay attention, and there is a lot of suspense.

I also like the different aspect ratios for today and 4 years from now....

Re: The Haunting of Hill House (Netflix) D: Flanagan, S: Gugino, Hutton, Thomas, Reas

The first episode is kinda boring. But it really gets going after that. Give it at least 3 episodes before giving up.

I absolutely loved Season 1. Scary with real good character development. ...

Re: Halloween (Gordon Green, 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I thought Rob Zombie's Halloween II was awful. But I actually liked his first Halloween film quite a bit.

Re: Halloween (Gordon Green, 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I had been waiting for this one for a long time and was pretty excited about the director and the good reviews.

I was disappointed. It wasn't a bad movie, but it was just OK, IMO. Had I known,...

Re: Homecoming (Amazon) S: Julia Roberts -- From the creator of Mr. Robot -- 11/2/18

Comes out this week. Does Prime Video stream the whole season at once or do you have to wait and watch them week by week like Handmaids Tale on Hulu?

Re: Fahrenheit 11/9 (D: Michael Moore)

I'm guessing this will be on BluRay fairly quickly seeing as how it disappeared from theaters so fast.

I'd bet on December or January.

Re: Fahrenheit 11/9 (D: Michael Moore)

The first Fahrenheit made $120 million in the US. I remember the theater being packed.

I thought this one was good and very, very funny (obviously, not the Flint water segments).

It wasn't...

Re: Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO) - Series Discussion Thread

Show returns tomorrow night, August 3. Can't wait. I enjoyed his HBO standup special from Oklahoma from early July.

Re: Mission: Impossible - Fallout (McQuarrie, 2018) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thre

I was wondering that as well. That part looked awesome.

I'm not a fan of action movies much at all, but this was so fucking bad ass. Going to pay too much to see it in theaters again.

Re: Roseanne (ABC) -- Season 10 Thread -- premieres 3/27/18

The NFL owners will just take the fine. The NFL with only white players would be a disaster. And boring to watch.

Re: BlacKkKlansman (2018, D: Spike Lee) S: John David Washington, Adam Driver

Shit looks dope. Will see for sure. I miss the days when Spike Lee was making good films.

Re: New Alice In Chains song / album discussion thread [merged]

Recently released the first single from their 3rd album (with Duvall as lead singer), which comes out this summer.

Song is called The One You Know. Sounds pretty good. They are still great...

Re: Massive Appetite for Destruction box coming 6/29

One In A Million is one of my early favorites of GnR. It should be included. Hell, in Trump's America, a lot of people wouldn't have a problem with it all.

Re: Hostiles (2017, D: Scott Cooper) S: Christian Bale, Wes Studi, Rosamund Pike

This is what worries me about this film. I think I may find it dull. Will take the plunge at some point, thankfully at home so I can pause if need be.

Re: The House That Jack Built (D: Lars von Trier) S: Matt Dillon, Bruno Ganz

Great trailer!! This going to kick some ass.

I think think he looks just like Billy Crudup in that closing shot of the trailer.

Re: Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018, D: McQuarrie) S: Tom Cruise

That is a cool poster. Can't believe how consistently good and profitable these franchise has been. I remember seeing the first one in theaters in the mid-90s. And I enjoyed it. But never would...

Re: SNL (S43E20) -- 05/12/18 -- H: Amy Schumer -- MG: Kasey Musgraves

Surprised there is no backlash on here considering most men don't care for Schumer very much.

I love Kacey Musgraves.

Re: A Perfect Circle -- Eat the Elephant -- 4/20/18

I think the end, tracks 10, 11 & 12 are my favorite part of the album.

But I'm enjoying it as a whole, and it is a grower. I love the opening track Eat the Elephant, too.

It's a different...

Re: My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman (Netflix) premieres 1/12

Yeah, pretty dumb if they aren't going to put something that would be very popular on Netflix. Can't find anything about when it might be streaming online.

Re: My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman (Netflix) premieres 1/12

The Seinfeld live thing was apparently on last night. But it is not streaming on Netflix as of now, or at least I can't find it. The Tiny Fey episode is the latest one that shows up on my Netflix.
