Re: "God Told Me To" Reviews/Discussion - 2019 Horror Challenge

It's a good flick and I did not expect the alien element. Always something deeper going on in Cohen films.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 15th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

It Follows is absolutely great!

I decided to watch House by the Cemetery for the checklist.... At least I've been drinking...

Demon Knight is a lot of fun and Billy Zane elevates it that much more. Always thought he should have been a bigger star.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 15th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I'm going on strike tomorrow. Been averaging 5 movies a day (I'm on vacation) This will slow me down a bit but at least I'm not dying this year.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 15th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I watched it this morning, I thought it was mediocre. It had some good gags and decent kills/gore but it lacked the character of the originals.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 15: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)

If you need 1 more writer, how about Wesley Strick (https://www.imdb.com/filmosearch/?explore=genres&role=nm0834338&ref_=filmo_ref_gnr&sort=moviemeter,asc&mode=detail&page=1&genres=Horror) ?

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 15: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)

I really like those 2 picks.

Hell Ted Raimi could be a separate checklist item. 'Watch a movie where Ted Raimi dies.' Or go super hard 'Watch a movie starring Ted Raimi where he doesn't die.'

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 15th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I only had time to watch The Howling, on Friday. It definitely got me in the mood for horror and October can't come soon enough.

I'm sure I'll watch something on Friday (probably a werewolf flick), but I won't count it. I'm a purest.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 15: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)

Would this count as a horror documentary?

Not that it will play anywhere near me though.

Re: Looking for Mr. Goodbar

It gets played on TV for sure. It was on one of the premium HD movie channels here in Canada, recently. That's how I watched it and if they ever put out a Blu-ray I will buy it first day.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 15: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)

I've never seen an episode of America Horror Story, but the new season being a slasher at a camp has me interested. I'm tempering my expectations now.
