Re: Identity of D.B. Cooper solved?

It really is Rackstraw. One of my best friends was hired, I believe by Rackstraw's aunt, to find out what happened to her brother who mysteriously disappeared. Eventually, after some heavy rains,...

Re: Recommend Program for VHS to DVD Conversion

Get an external converter unit like this:

http://www.amazon.com/ADS-Tech-DVD-Express-USBAV-701/dp/B00009YUPS

It works much better than using a video input in your PC.

Re: What's the Best DVD Ripper Software (for legal use)

If the home movies are on DVD you can simply copy the files from the DVD to your computer since they're not copy protected. They will play fine from there.

Re: Can we have our random picture thread back?

As the thread is very long it turned out to be extremely time-consuming cleaning it up. Saves take forever. It was always intended that it return but it will take a while.

Re: NSA collecting phone records of millions of Americans daily

I agree.

The point is, that that this will occur whether we want it to or not. Just the passive surveillance going on will be able to track where we're going, what we're doing. It's just a...

Re: NSA collecting phone records of millions of Americans daily

Re: Supreme Court -- 2011 and beyond discussion

Re: "Nothing in the Constitution explicitly guarantees our right to vote."

We didn't have an amendment guaranteeing a right to privacy with regard to abortion, but we got it anyway. So we probably don't need one to be able to vote.

Not at all. What about all the sick people who are already buying it and will continue for years to come? You could maybe say that in a generation if everybody actually bought insurance, but they...
