Re: Fawlty Towers Reboot S: John Cleese

People still don't know the difference between the terms "reboot" and "revival".

Re: Movie Theaters

If they're discount $2 off the value seats and adding $1 for the preferred sightline seats, won't they pretty much break even for a near sold out movie screening? It could even backfire during less...

Re: The “Do You Own Any of These” Game - Round 1

I think i have a copy of Edge of Chaos in a box somewhere. About 12 years ago I bought a cheap box of independent comics, mostly they were first issues. I think I bought them for the Groo issues, but...

re: The Last of Us (S1E04) -- "Please Hold to My Hand" -- 2/5/23

I've been watching the show. I feel it's a little slow, but it's hard not to compare it to The Walking Dead which is more fast paces and has more characters. The third episode was interesting, but...

Re: Frasier Revival coming to Paramount+

It's been years since I've seen the episode, but didn't Cliff decide to stay in Boston by the end of the episode?

Re: Frasier Revival coming to Paramount+

Choosing Boston seems odd if they don't intend for it to have some connection to Cheers when you think about it. Maybe they have some intention to revive Cheers at some point in a similar way to...

Re: Frasier Revival coming to Paramount+

There was an interview with Ted Danson on one of the late night shows years ago, and he had said that he had part of bar portion of the set in his rec room and he also had the picture of Geronimo...

Re: Frasier Revival coming to Paramount+

It would be too expensive to recreate the set for just a couple of scenes here and there. It would seem odd for him not to go into Cheers and visit his old friends though. They may need to come up...

Re: Cindy Williams from Laverne and Shirley dead at 75

I never watch the show much, so I wasn't familiar with her either. But, I looked up the cast after your post just to see when they all died, and she happened to pop up, so I figured it was worth...

Re: Cindy Williams from Laverne and Shirley dead at 75

Although not a regular, Carole Ita White was in quite a few episodes and is still with us.

Re: Cindy Williams from Laverne and Shirley dead at 75

Didn't they announce just a few month ago that she would go on tour doing a one woman show? I figured she must have been in good health to be doing that. I wonder if it was something sudden.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion

The current Jeopardy champ, Troy, was reminding me a lot of the late actor, Christopher Reeve.

Re: Jeopardy! Discussion

I knew the 1908 year meant they were talking about the Model T Ford, but the word "these" makes it sound like they are looking for the more generic answer or at the very least leaving it open to both...

Re: That ‘90s Show (Netflix) - sequel series with Kitty and Red - premieres 1/19/23

So, Ashton and Mila's son lives right down the road from Red and Kitty and they've never crossed paths with him or had any idea who his parents were. It also seemed like they haven't seen Ashton's...

Re: That ‘90s Show (Netflix) - sequel series with Kitty and Red - premieres 1/19/23

I only watched a handful of episodes of the original series. So if the series ended at the very end of the 1970's and the new show takes place in 1995, doesn't that mean that the characters got...

Re: A Man Called Otto (2022, D: Forster) S: Tom Hanks

I just watched the movie today. it was a decent off-beat movie, but somewhat predictable in a number of scenes. If you haven't seen it, think of it as Grand Torino minus all the gang violence.

Re: Above the title credits for a TV show

It would have sounded funny if they put the "TAXI" logo first and then followed it up with "Judd Hirsch in". That could only work if they put the "TAXI" logo on second.

Re: Night Court (NBC) -- S: Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette -- Premieres 1/17/23

I wasn't aware of that, or at least I don't remember it, but it's been years since I've seen the show and hadn't though a lot about it since it was cancelled.

Was the lady that could put an enitre...

Re: Night Court (NBC) -- S: Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette -- Premieres 1/17/23

They were both heavy chain smokers in real life. That probably lead to them looking much older than they were as well as their premature deaths.

Re: Night Court (NBC) -- S: Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette -- Premieres 1/17/23

I wonder how many of the recurring or side characters will appear if any on the new show. There was a woman on the first episode that Dan commented on and said that she could put her entire hand into...

Re: Night Court (NBC) -- S: Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette -- Premieres 1/17/23

I was thinking similar along the lines of they are both somewhat tough, masculine, black females who play the bailiff. In the original Florence was nearly a carbon copy of Selma Diamond's character....

Re: Night Court (NBC) -- S: Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette -- Premieres 1/17/23

Just watched the first episode. I didn't find the acting to be incredibly good during this episode. The bailiff character is the weakest link. There's too much of an attempt to make her a modern...
