Re: The 2013 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot

Really? I'd like to see proof of that.

Pujols doesn't show signs of steroid use. His numbers have always been consistent, he never failed a test, nobody has ever claimed to have seen him use...

Re: The 2013 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot

Pedro is a first ballot lock based on his peak alone.

Re: The 2013 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot

Albert Pujols and Frank Thomas. Despite the fact that they are both big men, I haven't seen any evidence that they juiced.

In Thomas case, he's been huge since his college days, and he was...

Re: The 2013 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot

I think most pitchers who use steroids do so for recovery purposes, and to prolong dominance. I highly doubt Clemens was taking steroids in the amounts someone like Mcgwire was.

Re: The 2013 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot

With the exception of Biggio and Piazza, there is far less evidence Bagwell used compared to Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, and obviously Mcgwire who admitted to using steroids.

Re: The 2013 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot

Bagwell probably was using, but you need some kind of proof beyond stats.

If you take his stats at face value, he's one of the greatest all around 1B ever. Surprised at the lack of support for...

Re: The ABC Sunday Night Movie presents JAWS and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK

Question: When "Star Wars" played on T.V. in the 80's, was it the 1981 version with the "A New Hope" title crawl, or the 1977 version with the original title crawl?

Re: Frank Darabont

I have a soft spot for the 1990 made for T.V. movie "Buried Alive" starring Tim Matheson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and the reporter from "Die Hard". The Mist also had it's moments, though I'm not fan...

Re: Sly or Arnold (70's-90's)?

Arnold wins for the original Terminator. However, First Blood is superior to any other Arnie movie, including T2, which is a mediocre sequel to a great movie.

Edit: Forgot about Predator, which I...

Re: Five Favorite Directors?

Lucas was once a serious and respected filmmaker. Although I love Star Wars, it certainly did ruin him.

Re: Five Favorite Directors?

Although I'm no fan of Spielberg's schmaltzy cinema, I've always found it interesting that those who dislike Spielberg's sappy films are often fans of crap like "The Shawshank Redemption" or "The...

Re: Fincher or Nolan?

I voted Fincher because of Zodiac, which is a brilliant film. That said, I'm really not a fan of either director.
