Re: The Eleventh Annual May Make-Your-Own Challenge **Discussion Thread**

I think I'm going to do a different theme for each day. Planning on doing a few TV series premiere movies for day 1 (and maybe mirroring it with series finales on the 31st). Kicking around ideas to...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

Among the other issues that you and DVD Polizei highlighted, this is another one I'm unsure about. According to the article grundle shared they didn't test a random sample of Iceland's population,...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

What leads you to that conclusion? Viral epidemiologists the world over work incredibly hard on modeling these things based on rigorous scientific standards, so I'm curious if you have a source as to...

Re: Are you working in the office, remotely or stuck at home due to Covid-19?

My current team has always been work-at-home, so nothing has changed in that sense. Some network resources are running a bit slower due to the increase in VPN usage by the rest of the company, but...

Re: Coronavirus (Sports World)

I hope the comparison to Y2K is accurate. A potentially devastating problem that generated the appropriate level of alarm and response, to the extent that now people think it was an overreaction....

Re: 2019-2020 NCAA Men's Basketball Regular Season Thread

Way more Arizona than Baylor fans here, although pretty sparse attendance overall. Going to be a weird vibe.

Re: 2019-2020 NCAA Men's Basketball Regular Season Thread

Yep the kick and tip times are the same, which I'm sure thrilled the Baylor folks. I'll be really curious what the attendance is like.

Re: 2019-2020 NCAA Men's Basketball Regular Season Thread

Ugh, I'm going to Waco to watch the Arizona/Baylor game on Saturday but Nico Mannion (back) and Josh Green (strep throat) haven't practiced all week and aren't sure to play, and Stone Gettings is out...

Re: Adopting a rescue dog is a huge process

I'm finally at a point in my life where I felt ready to adopt a dog (wanted one my whole life). The rescues did all have very intimidating application processes, but most of them seemed designed just...

Re: Castle (ABC) -- Season 8 Thread -- Premieres 9/21/15

Isn't it much more likely that those are two entirely different subsets of Castle fans, rather than one hypocritical group? I'm in the disappointed camp. Even without Beckett, and even though the...

Re: College Hoops Postseason 2016 (NCAAs, NIT, etc.)

Kind of like Wisconsin last year in the Elite 8, when the 3s are raining like they are there's not much you can do. Especially when your star doesn't show up and your rebounding woes catch up to you.

Re: College Hoops Postseason 2016 (NCAAs, NIT, etc.)

That's what's super bizarre to me. You chastise a kid (for something that's really not a problem, he took a shot at the end of the shot clock, there were still 8 seconds on the game clock), he owns...

Re: college hoops 2016 offseason

After just firing a coach for being able to recruit well but not win, I'd love to see UNLV go out and hire Lavin.

Re: Garry Shandling Dies at 66

I just ran through both It's Garry Shandling's Show and The Larry Sanders Show last year. Tremendously talented and funny guy, very sad to hear this. :(

Re: College Hoops Postseason 2016 (NCAAs, NIT, etc.)

Oregon's a fantastic team and I'm happy to see them doing their part to salvage the Pac-12's reputation, but I'm going to be ticked if they make a Final Four before Arizona gets back there.

Re: college hoops 2016 offseason

The only job opening in Sean's tenure in Tucson that I was legitimately concerned about was Maryland, and from the rumor mill the only college job to be worried about in the future would be Carolina....

Re: College Hoops Postseason 2016 (NCAAs, NIT, etc.)

I hate to say it, but good riddance to this team. They was always going to be undertalented, especially after Ray Smith went down in the preseason, but the complete lack of effort they showed for...

Re: College Hoops Postseason 2016 (NCAAs, NIT, etc.)

I've never seen this team shoot so terribly, not even close. Some possessions we can't get a decent look because of WSU's defense, but other ones we're just missing point blank shots.
