Re: SNL (S44S12) -- 02/09/19 -- H & MG: Halsey

:D That was among my earliest memories watching the show, along with Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood & the 60 Minutes defective novelties bit.

Re: SNL (S44S12) -- 02/09/19 -- H & MG: Halsey

There seems to be a lot of convenient forgetfulness regarding Billy Crystal's Sammy Davis Jr. which was for the record spot on hilarious at the time.

Re: Escape at Dannemora (Showtime) D: Stiller, S: Del Toro, Dano, Arquette

Good interview. I've really enjoyed the series.

I think the final episode might be around 90 minutes.

Interruption aside I found the backstories interesting and a stark reminder of how brutal...

Re: Marvel's Daredevil (Netflix) -- Season 3 Discussion Thread -- premieres 10/19/18

Well that blows. Really shocked they cancelled it. This last season was the best. I thought the cast really hit their stride and the action was phenomenal. Going to miss the 3 leads and especially...

Re: The Venture Bros. on Adult Swim

Absolutely! So brilliantly put together. Loved the Mission Impossible heist aspect. Presto-Chango! Copy Cat, the Eyes Wide Shut & Shining homages. Plenty of Monarch & Doc time. One of the best...

Re: Castle Rock (Hulu) - Stephen King anthology series - EP: Abrams - premieres 7/25/

Ain't that the truth. Christ almighty I want those hours back. Even the It TV movie ending didn't leave me as pissed off as this did.

Re: Better Call Saul (S4E01) -- Season Premiere -- "Smoke" -- 8/6/18

My favorite part was the opening scene and finally finding out what happened after Gene collapsed last season. Tense as hell. Just frustrating that we only get these small glimpses of present day...

Re: Ash vs. Evil Dead (Starz) -- Season 3 Thread -- Premieres 2/25/18

That was an epic and surprisingly emotional finale.

Strangely appropriate the show would end in a way that sets up what the original "slept too long" ending to ARMY OF DARKNESS did years ago.

Re: The Terror (AMC) -- From EP Ridley Scott -- Premieres 3/26/18

Watched the first hour last night and really liked it. Eerie, claustrophobic and desolate. I don't know how the air of the supernatural plays into anything but I like tales of survival even true ones...

Undercover Office Potty :D

"Why do you have so many lamps?"
"You're going to the bathroom in these over-sized fake office supplies!"

Re: The X-Files (S11E05) -- "Ghouli" -- 1/31/18

Yeah her voice is wrecked. It's been like that a few years now. I remember noticing it on Hannibal and then with the last season of X-Files. There are moments when she sounds close to normal but...

Re: SNL (S43E10) -- 01/13/17 -- H: Sam Rockwell -- MG: Halsey

Kate's Mika impression was far too animated. Every time I've tuned in Mika barely speaks and just gives a pouty expression while Joe lectures everyone.

Rockwell was a good host. Liked the ATM &...

Re: Twin Peaks (S1E17/E18) -- Season Finale -- "The Return - Part 17 & 18" -- 9/3/17

As mind-blowingly frustrating as the Season 2 finale times a thousand.
Something that will perplex and fascinate for years to come.

Part 18 felt like an episode from a season 4 if it existed....

Re: Twin Peaks (S1E16) -- "The Return - Part 16" -- 8/27/17

Mind blown like a manufactured Red Room tulpa.
I lost count how many times I punched the air with a Yes! or Holy Crap!

So intense right from the start and just didn't let up.

Richard (Evil...

Re: Comic actor Jay Thomas is dead at 69 (Ray Donovan)

Great times. Always a highlight. Surprised and saddened to hear he died.

I knew him from his TV work but his Lone Ranger story "They'll believe ME, citizen!" and throwing footballs with Dave...

Re: Twin Peaks (S1E15) -- "The Return - Part 15" -- 8/20/17

Lots to like in this episode.

Nadine, Big Ed & Norma was a great moment any fan would be cheering at. Everett McGill is a criminally underused actor and Wendy Robie as Nadine hasn't lost a step....

Re: Twin Peaks (S1E14) -- "The Return - Part 14" -- 8/13/17

That was way awesome. Jack Rabbits did not disappoint. The return of the woman who fell into space was a huge surprise and adds another piece to this big puzzle.

Also, Diane and Janey-E half...

Re: Twin Peaks (S1E12) -- "The Return - Part 12" -- 7/30/17

I had mixed feelings after this one and like most was disappointed with Audrey's introduction but on re-watching that scene today I had a very different response.

Just seeing Charlie with his...

Re: Twin Peaks (S1E11) -- "The Return - Part 11" -- 7/23/17

Another highly entertaining ep. Always sad when it's over but thrilled for having seen it. Love the Mitchum brothers and the chemistry of Belushi and Knepper which reminds me a lot of old school...

Re: Twin Peaks (S1E09) -- "The Return - Part 9" -- 7/9/17

I think itchy armpit girl skeeved me out more than that freaky bug from last week.

Interesting developments.
The reappearance of Evil Coop's playing card symbol on Major Brigg's note.

Re: Twin Peaks (S1E08) -- "The Return - Part 8" -- 6/25/17

That was insanely awesome. I was engrossed by every second of it. I was hoping for more of the surreal we got in episode 3 with Coop's trip and this shattered every expectation. Just amazing stuff....

Re: Twin Peaks (S1E06) -- "The Return - Part 6" -- 6/11/17

That hit and run was so gut-wrenching even on second viewing. I definitely think Richard is Audrey's kid. No idea about the father though.

So great to see Harry Dean Stanton again. Incredible the...
