Re: NFL, MLB, NBA........which finale was the most exciting?

I think the Rangers were actually 1 strike away from victory......twice, but couldn't seal the deal.

NFL, MLB, NBA........which finale was the most exciting?

Pretty good year for sports enthusiasts if you ask me.

NBA: Mavericks pull an unexpected sweep of Kobe and the Lakers only to be the underdogs in the finals vs. the Heat. After going down 2-1,...

Re: Occupy Wall Street

I hate to gloat and say I was right, but.......I WAS RIGHT!!! My "extreme outliers" argument in regards to Average Income statistics is finally finding traction. Remove the top and bottom 3-5%...

Re: Occupy Wall Street

A Neurosurgeon can easily make 6 figures working part time.

A "Banker" (not a bank manager, or branch employee) can easily make 6 figures working part time. Some could probably pull 7 figures...

Re: Occupy Wall Street

Let's take it a step further. 60 hrs/week * $30/hr * 52 weeks/yr = $93,600/yr. Still not 6 figures.

Re: Occupy Wall Street

Poor example because all those people probably could probably make 6-figures working part-time......and don't represent "most people".

Re: Occupy Wall Street

At my current job, the hourly employees are prohibited from overtime. If they go over on hours in any pay period.....they get written up. 3 strikes and you're out. First warning, last warning, and...

Do you actually believe most people who work multiple jobs earn 6 figures?

Re: Occupy Wall Street

I wasn't talking about the hippies. You misread my post. Plus, there really is no way to romanticize a 60+ hour work week......save, a fifth of jack and a two dollar street hooker on hump day.

Re: Occupy Wall Street

Hippies or not, it doesn't really matter. The truth is......our capitalistic system is fucked up and a lot more people than just the hippies are being affected. They just don't have the money or...

Re: Occupy Wall Street

Funny you should mention it because many of my friends who are engineers and lawyers have been bitching lately about how bad the outlook is in their respective fields.

Re: Occupy Wall Street

I've always hated these statistics about "average income" because......as far as I can tell.......they don't eliminate the extreme outliers. People have been saying for years now that real mean...

Re: Occupy Wall Street

I would look even worse if you gave the top 1% their own category. Realize we are talking about wealth here. Not annual income. Basically 85% of all wealth in the U.S is owned by the top 20%. I'm...

Re: Occupy Wall Street

I'd love to see Limbaugh dress up as Barry White for his show on Halloween. His ratings would soar.

Re: Occupy Wall Street

Unfortunately I won't be able to do this by the Nov. 5th deadline, because we are moving soon. But after the move I'll go CU hunting.
