Re: Forrest Fenn treasure found!

So, with his death, this confirms what I thought.

There never was a treasure to begin with.

Forrest Fenn likely just wanted to find a reason to get people to go outside and move more. Explore...

Re: What's Up With all the Fireworks??

No thanks, bro. I'm gonna call out bigotry and racism as much as possible in the Trump days. Deal with it.

Re: What's Up With all the Fireworks??

Where is your proof that it's "bored people with free money."? Show me links or evidence and I will gladly apologize.

Re: What's Up With all the Fireworks??

OP said it's a thing in "black and brown neighborhoods". Excuse me? What? That's ignorant.

I live in one of the whitest metros in the country and it's tons of fireworks all the time. Sucks and...

Re: 51 year old 'Green Mile' actor weds 16 year old

Preach! I'm sure she looks atrocious without a ton of make-up on too. Shame that society puts such pressure for people to permanently ruin their bodies when they already look attractive by everyones'...

Re: Landlords on my case about my cleanliness!

I mean to be fair, the man clearly knows a LOT of details about many things related to media.

The disaster recovery thing is funny though.

Hang in there alan!

Re: Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019, D: Michael Dougherty) -- The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Finally got around to seeing this. Wanted to see it on the big screen, but bad reviews had me save my money. Glad I did.

As others have mentioned, the monster action is solid, but too dark, and...

Re: Fiona Apple -- "Fetch the Bolt Cutters"

Don't waste your money then. If you don't like it it will sit there and you could have done other things with that $15. At some point you'll have to move or will die like the rest of us and you'll be...

Re: Criterion releases on Blu-Rays, Part II

Agreed. I've seen it about 2-3 times, once on the big screen, and it's a very disappointing film. Melville made better pictures and this is a slooow moving film. I liked it the more times I saw it,...

Re: Landlord Trying To Rip Me Off?

Facts. Anyone who gets any money back from one or even 50% should play the lottery.

Re: 'Cannonball' coast-to-coast drive record set amid virus shutdown

Bizarre thread, but as someone who speeds nearly all the time, I'm here to just post and share some thoughts and insight into why. This is for anyone curious. Not going to go back and forth with...

Re: What to do in Philly in one day?

The Philly Museum of Art is one of the best art museums in the country/world. It will take you a full day and it is amazing. 100% worth seeing.
The Barnes Foundation Museum is legendary as well....

Re: Florida man tied up wife's lover, cut off penis with scissors, deputies say

Not sure how you don't just die at this point. No many situations involve life vs life without a dick where I would choose the latter.

Re: Do you ever think you’ll watch all the movies in your collection before you die?

Great existential thread. As I've aged, I'm defintiely more picky about what I buy and can sell/trade/donate movies much easier than in the past.

I think anyone checking "no" needs to do some...

Re: Yet another travel thread: Gulf Shores, AL

Haven't been, but know people who have. Enjoy looking at the oil refineries on the horizon while you relax on the beach. Not sure what Alabama was thinking with that one.

Re: It Was 20 Years Ago Today... (1999 Nostalgia)

This is so sad, true, and harsh.

I can't even imagine waiting to see something you love, only to get turned down, and have to deal with the distraction of her making out with your rival. That must...

It seems Turin...

Re: The Disneyland/California Adventure Thread

Does anyone actually like and enjoy later career Jean-Luc Godard films?

I'm not talking Weekend Godard, I'm talking post 1972 onward Godard. When he went very didactic and political, essentially becoming a new director. I've seen a handful of films, most recently Tout Va...

Re: Landlords on my case about my cleanliness!

In all honesty, Alan if he lived in a large city, might be able to create some type of exhibit with everything he owns. I don't think it's interesting enough or important enough to exist as its own...

Re: Chris Hansen starting a Kickstarter to bring back Catch A Predator

it's a fascinating thing altogether.

I would think to make it more comparable, would be if someone wanted to go buy cocaine, they arrange it with someone, but the person buys it, and it's not...

Re: Chris Hansen starting a Kickstarter to bring back Catch A Predator

These shows are always highly entertaining. Glad the clips are on youtube.

I've always had some issues though with the show itself:

1. Still bizarre to me how legally these people can get...
