Re: The Tenth Annual November Comedy Challenge *Discussion Thread* Nov 1-30, 2020

I waited until about a year or so ago, not sure why I held out so long, as I love Dan Harmon and most Adult Swim Iíve sampled over the years. Rick and Morty is pure genius. I try to watch just a...

Re: The Fast Food Junkie Thread

So for about a year or so McDonald’s has had a daily free large fries with any purchase in their app. Killed my diet, so hard to resist grabbing 50 cent apple slices and those free fries pretty much...

Re: Image & Signature Limits

Every time I edit my horror challenge list I have to remove dozens of extra lines. I miss the old days.

Re: How are you going to vote this year? (2020)

I’ve always voted on Tuesday in-person, but went early this year just to be safe. Didn’t want anything to happen to prevent my small effort for the return of sanity in this country.

Huge lines at...

Re: Landlords on my case about my cleanliness!

I didn’t really get into movies until DVD, so have a relatively small VHS collection compared to my DVD hoarding.

I have the last Star Wars trilogy set before they started editing them, so guess...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 16th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Been battling a case of adhesive capsulitis the last couple months. It’s a condition that ultimately resolves on it’s own, but the first few months are marked by constant pain, especially when lying...

Re: The Tenth Annual November Comedy Challenge *Discussion Thread* Nov 1-30, 2020

Not a popular opinion I know, but The Goonies is a horrible film. If I saw it as a kid I might appreciate it, but first time viewing as an adult and every line of kids dialogue is like nails on a...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 16th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

These have already been pretty much answered by a couple different posters, but to be thorough:

1. The subset choices do not have to watched on the exact day (or partial day for 9/30 and 11/01) to...

Re: The Tenth Annual November Comedy Challenge *Discussion Thread* Nov 1-30, 2020

Late to reply, but I always just go with the Horror Challenge cross-challenge pick for the crossover time. Pretty sure it was my first screening of The Witches (1990) last night, along with some...

Re: "Theatrical / VOD / Virtual Cinema Showing" Reviews/Discussion - 2020 Horror Challenge: Bonus Day

Saw the mediocre Shortcut for the October part of the checklist here. Hopefully it’s not the last film I ever see in a theater.

Re: "The Blackcoat's Daughter" Reviews/Discussion - 2020 Horror Challenge

Loved this film. Could have left out all the horror/murder and been an emotional study of loneliness and loss, but the genre elements gave it some shocks and a wonderful overall dread.

Re: What are you watching on Halloween (2020)?

My plan in October is always to watch whatever the DVDTalk community is watching in the DVDTalk Horror Challenge. Today’s choices are Halloween 4, and a Celtic/Samhain film.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 16th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Iím not sure itís a classic, but I really enjoy it. It starts slow, but ends up being oddly compelling.

Re: "Who's Watching Oliver?" Reviews/Discussion - 2020 Horror Challenge

I think this is three films so far this month that I wished I never saw. ‘Worst’ year of the subset on that front for me. In the future, I’ll stop watching them and use the three subset ‘wildcards’...

Re: "Who's Watching Oliver?" Reviews/Discussion - 2020 Horror Challenge
