re: The Official Boxing Thread

Or y'know, Pacquiao and his camp actually agrees to the stringent olympic level blood testing, which has blocked the fight forever. It never ceases to amaze me how much people are willing to overlook...

Re: bands you saw at very small venues that went on to become huge acts?

I saw System of a Down and Incubus co headline a show at the relatively small Birch Hill night club in Old Bridge NJ back in Oct of 98.

Re: Lost -- 2 1/2 Hour Series Finale -- "The End Part 1 & 2" -- 05/23/10

:lol::lol::lol:

I enjoyed Lost, but lets get real.
The Wire season finale was only 2 years ago, not to mention other fine shows like Deadwood, the Shield, Sopranos and several others.

Re: The Official Boxing Thread - 2008 and beyond!

It pisses me off that "nothing to hide" Pacquiao refuses to submit to any sort of real comprehensive drug testing.

If he did, the fight would be on. Floyd's a jerk, but he's 100% in the right on...

I actually thought it was pretty good. Then again, I've enjoyed all three.
Not his best work, but certainly fine.

Re: The Official Boxing Thread - 2008 and beyond!

Nevada not requiring blood testing shows what a joke the system is, particularly for fights of this magnitude. Urine tests can;t detect HGH and some other designer steroids.
I have a bridge to sell...

Re: The Official Boxing Thread - 2008 and beyond!

The article quoted above mentions he would take a test now, one in training but *not* later than 30 days prior to the fight and one post fight.

If he's clean and wants to prove it, why is he...

Re: The Official Boxing Thread - 2008 and beyond!

The blame is 100% on Pacquiao as he comes across as someone with something major to hide.

The ridiculous "he never failed a test" comments are just that.
The sophistication of drug use on this...

Re: artists whose earlier/later material doesn't appeal to you

I 1000% disagree with this.

Machina II had some outstanding songs (Slow Dawn, Speed Kills, If there is a od, Vanity etc)

People like to gripe about Zeitgeist, but there are some real high...

The First song was released today.

It's a Song for a Son which should be familiar to people who went to the 20th Anniversary tour last year.

Re: Morrissey - Years of Refusal Feb 2009

Re: The Official MMA Thread - Part III

Well, after 2 first round kos of former UFC champions, Fedor continues to show he's the best heavyweight of all time. A pity we probably won't see him against Lesnar anytime soon.
