Re: The Others and Scary Movie 3 - $5 each at Target

Same here. FYI they also had: Young Guns, Gross Anatomy, Another Stakeout, American Psycho and Stargate (the original release not the 15 year anniversary) for $5 as well.

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

The Losers starts off in the realm of over the top and ends in the absurd, but it was at least...

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

The Crazies, having everything quiet and then turning up the music to ear blasting levels does not scare me, it only annoys me.

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

The Lovely Bones It could have been 20 minutes shorter, but a good movie anyway. I especially liked the colorful CG backgrounds used, they reminded me of the color palettes used in Pushing Daisies...

Re: Last DVD you watched?

A very non-anamorphic Halloween II. A small rectangle, inside a square, inside a bigger rectangle. GoodTimes indeed.

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Up Meh. It's a fine movie, there's nothing wrong particularly with it, but it's not as good as Wall-E.

John Carpenter's Halloween Where the hell is my Halloween 2 on BluRay? I could care less...

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Home Great film, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the family's decent into madness. The family bathing together & holding conversations in the bathroom/tub, not so much but to each his own.

Re: Batman: Under the Red Hood BD Exclusive @ BB - $6.99

Just got back from in store pickup, no problems & no more of them on the floor. Now when I first watch it in 2, 3 or 6 months, I'll know if it was worth it.

Everlasting Moments

*A great movie, that was much better than I thought it would be.
* I really like the family and their interactions together.

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Legion:
+ Action scenes are very entertaining.
- Dramatic scenes are not (dialog can't be taken seriously when most of the conversations involve a guy named Jeep).
-- I'm not kidding, there's...

re: Last BD (or, unrealistically, HD DVD) you watched?

Franklyn (2008), pretty good movie except for the last 40 seconds. Preest kinda reminded me of Rorschach from Watchmen only not as cool.

Star Trek (2009), wasn't really interested in it when it...

Re: Last DVD you watched?

-DeepStar Six (1989). Shoot me please!
-Return of the Living Dead 2 (1988). On second thought, shoot the annoying main kid instead! (Great horror/comedy film otherwise).

Re: What are you reading? (January 2010)

Just finished Frostbite: A Werewolf Tale by David Wellington. Not as good as his vampire books and his zombie books, but worth a look if you're into that type of thing.
