Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

If there's a spare 2-3 coupons floating around, I would be very grateful!

I thought my list would be shorter this time around... of course it isn't!

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Huh. I've used a few 20% off coupons at Union Square and had no trouble. I wonder if this is a recent development? I used one this sale a week or two ago with no trouble at all.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Actually, that's outdated, I'm currently in Dallas, Tx. I always had horrible luck in NY. The only store that was ever nice about coupons was Union Square.

Just tried this, it did 20%.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Correct. 20% off, straight from the email. I tried to use $5 off of $50 with On the Waterfront but the total ended up below $50 so it wouldn't let me.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

So, I got a 20% off coupon in my email. Printed it and took off for my local to store to buy Shoah.

I'm sure you can imagine my shock when she told me the total cost of the order...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

My mailed coupon wouldn't scan earlier, she tried it a few times and then somehow got it to work and it worked. (Also on the Pasolini set.)

That said, the $8 coupon saves you like $.80 I think and...

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion/Art House Sale 10/30/12-11/19/12

Tried to price match at Best Buy. I was told that Best Buy does not Price Match local competitor's sales. I made him repeat that word for word to make sure I wasn't hearing something wrong.

Re: Fry's Anniversary Sale starting May 18

Thanks OP! I haven't been to Fry's in awhile, swung by the Irving, TX store last night after seeing this thread and was surprised to find just about everything I wanted in stock. I definitely thought...

Re: Fry's "Black Saturday" 1-Day Blu-Ray Prices

Thanks for this! I was just complaining last night about how I wanted to find Thor for $10 or less and then I saw this. Ran to my local store (Irving, TX) which had around fifteen in stock. Awesome.

Re: Barnes and Noble 50% Off Criterion Sale 7/12

That store is the worst. They always refuse to take legitimate coupons and are typically very rude about it; I don't even bother with that location anymore. Union Square employees have been much...

Re: Barnes and Noble 50% Off Criterion Sale 7/12

I think the sale is live on everything, you just have to add titles to your cart to see the discount.

Just placed an order for the Von Sternberg set and Nikkatsu Noir using each of the 15% off...

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale

Exactly.

These interpretations are interesting, but as DoctorThodt said, the printed wording is clear.

Furthermore, try it. Assuming a rational employee, this is the conversation you will have:...

Yeah, but the coupon says "The BN selling price is the price at the cash register before taxes and discounts, including the standard member discount, are applied."

I've successful argued this in...

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale

Yeah it's definitely the luck of the draw most of the time. I definitely went to that store four-ish times for various things; got completely turned away that one time and got one coupon through each...

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale

The only store I ever had any problems with in Dallas was Lincoln Park (7700 West Northwest Hwy. Ste. 300), a ton of arguing with two employees/a manager but they simply wouldn't take a $5 coupon on...

I went pretty nuts in the last sale so I'm trying to keep it low key this sale. Trying to keep it at:

Night of the Hunter
Paths of Glory
Seven Samurai...

Re: Criterion Sale? Ever Again? (NOW ACTIVE/ALIVE AT B&N)

Kndy was kind enough to give you the full details, but yeah. You paypal them (it was around $27 for all the cases) and they'll ship you cases. Just you stuff the booklet in and move the disc over.
