Re: Best (most enjoyable) concert experience

Rush never disappointed. Saw them probably ten times, including traveling to NYC for the final tour.

KISS also never disappointed, except for the repetitive set lists and schtick. But hey, it's...

Re: Last thing you bought...

I'll be getting one soon enough. Current one sticks when going up, only one remote works, and it's at least 20 years old.

re: WandaVision (S1E01/E02) - "Filmed Before a Live Studio Audience" / "Don't Touch That Dial" - 1/15/21

I hope we all realize that WandaVision was not actually filmed in front of an actual studio audience. Just sayin'.

Shows like The Big Bang Theory use the audience laughter/reaction from the first...

Re: What's your unpopular opinion?

My only interest in it is the Star Wars/Marvel stuff. Couldn't care less about the disney branded stuff, and have lost interest in Pixar after they started being so emotionally manipulative....

Re: The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (S2E8) - Season Finale - 12/18/20

Absolutely. Anakin could have filled that role, but he ended up being buddy buddy with the Chancellor. I know why that had to happen, but it doesn't make it better.

Jango Fett would have been a...

Re: The Coronavirus 2020 Meme Thread

I would share this, but the same crowd that denies covid and is anti-vaccine would take it seriously.

Re: The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (S2E8) - Season Finale - 12/18/20

The original SW trilogy focused on rebels, outlaws and scoundrels. Apart from Anakin's beginnings, the prequel trilogy was focused solely on the power elite. Not something most of us can really...

Re: the 2021 thread

If people start getting the vaccine in large enough numbers, it will go along way towards making 2021 tolerable. Really hoping that things are better managed come the end of January. Couldn't get...

Re: Last thing you bought...

FInal Cut Pro is the only thing keeping me on the mac at this point. Just don't like Premiere or DaVinci Resolve all that much.

As for purchases, I just picked up a furniture dolly today. I lead...

Re: Best Third Movie in a Trilogy

Revenge of the Sith was the best of the prequel trilogy, but that's really not saying much.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (The Russo Brothers, 2019) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Nebula knew that Gamora did not return from Vormir, but she did not know the details. She doesn't seem the type to engage in idle chatter without not knowing the details either.

Gamora knew about...

Re: The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (S2E8) - Season Finale - 12/18/20

The best part was that I didn't expect the story to be wrapped up. WIth S3 already announced, I figured the last season would be more "focused on finding an elusive unnamed Jedi" type situation. I...

Re: The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (S2E8) - Season Finale - 12/18/20

I'm OK with this. Mando S2 didn't end on a cliffhanger, so the suspense isn't killing anyone. There's tons of cool stuff to keep us distracted in 2021. Take the time to do it right.

Re: Itís the beginning of the end of COVID-19!!! Vaccines are here and Iím getting mine in a few days.

I should be sooner rather than later. Education is fairly high on the list. Group 1B or 1D, from what I've seen. Since my department is essential on-campus professional staff, I expect it sometime...

Re: XLIII Random Pic Thread, The Knights Who Say "Ni!" edition.

If I could make one change to YouTube, it would be to add a filter to forever remove any video with the word "reaction" from my feed.

Re: Worst (least enjoyable) concert experiences?

Most of my bad concert experiences involve other concert goers.

When I saw Rush about 20 years ago at a summer shed, some dipshit had to stand through Neal's drum solo, directly in my line of...

Re: What are the "Non-safe" things right now that you will do once the pandemic is near it's end?

Planning on a cross country trip by Amtrak/car this summer. Hoping it will be a mask free experience. Vegas is part of the trip and want to enjoy it properly.

Since people were so eager to...

Re: Superman & Lois TV series in development at The CW

Well, apparently Superman doesn't have enough name recognition or appeal to carry a show on his own, hence adding Lois to the title. I'm sure that will set off a few people.

I may or may not...

Re: Future Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Disney+ Discussion Thread - news, rumors, etc.

For as much as I like Cosmic Marvel, I have to say the Falcon and Winter Soldier series looks to be the most interesting of the bunch. It looks set in the more grounded world of the Winter Soldier...

Re: Black Panther II (2022, D: Coogler)

maybe it'll be a prequel set in the early 1960's where young T'Chaka meets four costumed adventurers who took a fateful rocket ride.
