Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Man, I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't have this place to come to in October..... Chad as the worn, comfortable shoe you've come to rely on year after year, but you never take notice...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

For the Checklist for anyone interested:

A film which truly justifies the term “unclassifiable,” WINTERBEAST was shot on and off for nearly half a decade and with a mix of super 8mm and 16mm,...

Re: "A Dark Song" Reviews/Discussion - 2022 Horror Challenge

Yes, I really love this one. The slow buildup takes us through the mundane parts.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Good number of kids came by last night. My wife got 2 huge bags of candy, and we gave out about 1/2 of one bag. The sky opened up and dumped a good bit of rain on those kids that were out, but it...

Re: "WNUF Halloween Special" Reviews/Discussion - 2022 Horror Challenge

Oh man, I was hoping this was going to be closer to Video Violence, than this.... This was a bit of a chore, and I just received the VS blu. This seem like about 50% commercials, that you would try...

Re: "Tales from the Darkside: The Movie" Reviews/Discussion - 2022 Horror Challenge

This was really nice. I’m pretty sure I had never seen this, but I somehow remembered seeing the last story. All of the segments were engaging for me and loved the wraparound. Debbie Harry was in...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

My House of Insane Women set came today just in time for tomorrow’s theme night.

Trying to figure out if I want to put myself through more Art the Clown tonight.... opinions?

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Ugh, watched Barbarians (2021) instead of the good one. I kept on trying to figure out what everyone was smoking with the heavy recommendations. I’ll watch the better one tomorrow. At least it was...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Plan on leaving work early today to get in some recommendations. Aquaslash (2019) actually sounds right up my alley, so that and Barbarian are high on my list today. I'm hovering around 90...

Re: "Deep Rising" Reviews/Discussion - 2022 Horror Challenge

I always get this one mixed up with another speedboat movie, but this one sure is a lot of dumb fun.

Famke in another theme night movie. 'And you Miss, are no lady'.

Re: "Child's Play" Reviews/Discussion - 2022 Horror Challenge

Yes, this really is a great movie! I watched it with the 'Chucky commentary' which was Dourif playing it straight, and it was pretty funny. I haven't seen this in a while, and I always forget how...

Re: "Child's Play" Reviews/Discussion - 2022 Horror Challenge

There’s a ‘guy’ selling dolls in the back alley. I love these movies

Re: "X" Reviews/Discussion - 2022 Horror Challenge

First time view. I decided to hold off watching this when it came out because I had a feeling we may have a theme night viewing during the challenge. Setting and atmosphere were really fantastic...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Thought there were a few funny moments, but I have a real aversion to the whole social media thing, so Deadstream wasn't really high on my list. I'm hoping to fit in VHS99 before midweek.

I'm...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Where did you bury my father’s body?
I’ve killed a lot of people. How can I remember? If you really want to know, you can ask him in hell!

Re: "Hell High" Reviews/Discussion - 2022 Horror Challenge

Mother told me there would be days like this.... Almost through, and digging it so far. That big dude is really paranoid about leaving fingerprints, but he is touching everything in the house. Went...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I'm actually contemplating skipping those JB movies in the hope of closing gaps in the last of the checklist. Those movies sure eat up time with the guests and commentary, and I may just catch them...

Re: "Mark of the Vampire" Reviews/Discussion - 2022 Horror Challenge

Yes, I went into this one blind and I felt it worked well. A good mystery with great visuals, and Bela playing a vampire.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Moving on to Robowar (1988). Man this movie is gold. I’m pretty sure with this one, my checklist will be mostly completed.

Does anyone have the Theme Night fulfilling of the checklist?

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I've always loved the Addams Family over the Munsters. Gomez is the ultimate latin lover with this otherworldly devotion to Morticia. The Munstes just seemed like dumb fun.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Smooth sailing up to this point. I'm current at ~65 titles, and the cool weather has really settled in. It's feeling like October, and I'm looking forward to more good stuff for the last 1/3 of the...
