Re: I Have Cataracts

I know some surgeries are more significant than others, but having someone taking a blade to my eye doesn't seem insignificant.

The questions about near and farsighted is one I've got to start...

Re: I Have Cataracts

This is funny and if I look hard enough, considerate.

BTW, the doc said the cataract on the right eye is bigger or did she say cloudier, but since they can correct my vision to 20/20 or very...

I Have Cataracts

So my eye doctor has told me the last 2-3 years I've got them, but it hasn't reached the point where it's time to do the procedure to remove them. My yearly eye exam is today and I'm half hoping and...

Re: Bill O'Reilly "KILLING KENNEDY" any reviews?

I haven't read either of the "Killing" books but am interested in them. Are they bone fide histories? I ask this because I don't want to read an O'Reilly right-wing rant. If he's writing history...

Re: More giant squid news.. and other undersea goodness.

Hey, I had already recorded that off the Science Channel. Haven't watched it yet, wasn't sure if it was THE program.

Re: More giant squid news.. and other undersea goodness.

What was the name of the show and will it be repeated? I've done searches on my DVR and not found it.

Bloodwork - Spoiler Involved

I listened to this book a couple of years ago and enjoyed it very much. I've just watched the Clint Eastwood move of the book and it has brought up a question I can't answer. Since it's a spoiler...

I Need a New Water Heater!

The one we have (American Water Heater) is done. I noticed I was only getting warm water and went out and looked at it and saw wet streaks of rusty looking crap dripping down it into the drip pan. ...

Re: The Official eBook & eReader Thread

I've used decal girl and their skins are good and there's a big variety to choose from. It was the first time I've put a skin on anything, but I managed it. The skin shows no sign of peeling and...

Re: My cat is sick...need advice

My wife and I have several cats. There is one, Patch, that we have vowed to go the extra mile for (we won't neglect any of our cats). I can tell you that $8400 is way beyond that extra mile. Even...

Re: My cat is sick...need advice

I really feel for your predicament. I am always troubled when I feel I'm limited in how well I can care for my cats by financial limitations. But it is there and I can't ignore it.

What should...

Re: Never thought I would start a cat thread

I know it happened some time ago, I want to extend my sympathies on the passing of your sweet baby. Because cats do not show pain quickly, it can be hard to know when there is a problem. When you...

Re: The Official eBook & eReader Thread

My first thought is, something has changed. Perhaps the signal on your router has dropped. Do you have another device, laptop, to test the signal with?

Secondly I would recommend you visit this...

Re: My poor cat :(

It's wonderful when a cat is that devoted. Over my life I've had more than a few like that. I find that as time goes by I get better at appreciating the cat for what he is and not want I him to be....

Re: My poor cat :(

Did you mention your cat's age, I don't remember? I think that any cat 10 years of age or more, will have some degradation of the renal system. Renal failure is a common and natural result of...

Re: My poor cat :(

That's a great thing you're doing for your cat. You are helping his body to do the things it can't do on it's own anymore (or well as it used to).

BTW, how do you get your fluids? Vets in our...

Re: My poor cat :(

I know you had some reservations when initially adopting Bruce. Did you find it worth while to adopt a cat you knew you wouldn't have as long as a younger cat? I'm betting you did.

Older cats...
