Re: Movies in which the unexpected actor became the bigger star

On the cast-commentary for Not Another Teen Movie, the cast goes bonkers for Sam Huntington and predicts what a big star he’s about to become. And with him being cast as Jimmy Olsen in Superman...

Re: Music Biopics you want to see?

I wouldn't mind a Henry Rollins biopic. Mostly because I would love to see who would play him. But his "Get in the Van" days could make a good film. I'd love to see Sean (Tangerine, Florida Project)...

Re: Music Biopics you want to see?

Kembra Pfahler & GG Allin. Both would likely be NC-17 though.

Re: What are some of your most vivid memories of a specific movie theater experience?

My most favorite would have to be the Roadshow experience of Hateful Eight. Completely sold-out crowd, Obtaining the (Much cooler-than-expected) program (Picked up 2 more on the ground left behind by...

Re: The Don "The Dragon" Wilson apprciation thread

Can someone please name me the Don Dragon Wilson Movie where he has a love scene in it? I ran into that movie in the 90s on cable and have never seen a guy so visibly nervous making love before

Re: FROM HELL TO THE WILD WEST + DEATH KISS - "Robert Bronzi" - Charles Bronson lookalike

I’ve only seen (*ahem* and own) Death Kiss. Could’ve been a lot worse, but it’s still forgettable. No blame on Bronzi, who I thought does a serviceable job. But it’s that damned dubbed voice. Even...

Re: Avengers: Endgame (4/26/19) D: The Russo Bros.

I’m intrigued by the low-budget approach that this has had so far. Add me to the club on liking this spot more than the trailer.

Re: RIP: Dick Miller (Gremlins) - Dead at 90

And in my previous Exploitation Challenge, I last saw him in War of the Satellites. Probably his only heroic lead role. Even though we all loved him for the minor parts, I wish we could have seen him...

Re: Suspiria - remake (2018, D: Guadagnino) S: Swinton, Johnson, Moretz, Goth

Same. Yet As much as I liked it, I would love to see a shortened fan-edit.

Re: Movies you've always wanted to see, but can never find

Yeah, mostly streaming or cable. The more convenient, the better. And since my buying of movies has significantly decreased, this mostly rules out blind buys. But I could make an exception for Jaded...

Movies you've always wanted to see, but can never find

I'm not talking about lost or locked-up films (i.e,The Day The Clown Cried) but movies that are indeed somewhere out there, but just never seem to be available for you to see. Some of mine:

Celine...

Re: Does anyone actually like and enjoy later career Jean-Luc Godard films?

I thought Hail Mary was decent (Mostly because it was straightforward compared to his other experimental latter stuff) I liked his work in Aria as well.

Re: Shame (2011, Dir: McQueen) Fasbender and Carey Mulligan

Does anybody here keep in touch with Snake? I've been curious to find out if he's given up BDs for 4Ks these days.

Black Panther (I really want this to win Best Song, but that aint happening. At...

Sometimes Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things on tonight. Haven't seen it yet and it's cool that Underground is starting to become a showcase for AFGA/Vinegar Syndrome product.

Re: Your Worst/Most disappointing Movies of 2018

A24, my go-to studio for best/favorite movies of the past 3 years, pretty much let me down in 2018.
Hereditary didn’t improve on a re-watch.
Mid90s, Which I was most hyped to see, had a massively...
