Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

Meh. I'd rather have a Demon Souls remake.

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

You can easily skip to Dark if you wanted but Demon is a great game as well.

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

I don't think I ever ended up going through the whole area. I took the back door in to beat the boss and eventually went back to get to that secret area with the Dragon Guild, or whatever it's called...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

Actually, I'd say the best advice I could give is to make sure you start with the Master Key so you can avoid 80% of Blighttown. That area sucks.

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

Biggie & Smalls is who I meant about having pyro to take out. I enjoyed the game more with each new section I went through but I found that the game got harder as you went on, even after being well...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

I'm not sure if updates changed it but pyro is definitely the way to go if you want to make the game easier. There's a certain boss later on which is damn near impossible without it.

That being...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

The game is all about patience. If you go in trying to hack & slash, you'll get killed every time. Even after I beat the game, my leveled up character was killed by those starting skeletons a few...

Those enemies are all skeletons as well.

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

None of this should be a surprise if you read anything about the game first. Hell, the back of the game box says "Prepare to Die!" in huge lettering. It wasn't joking...If you don't want people to be...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

You mean the wheel skeletons? I found that the key to them is to not lock on. Every time I did, it would fly past me and another one would kill me from behind when my character would turn around to...

If you don't have the rite yet, then I don't know. You can only kindle once before then.

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

You can kindle them three times each. If someone kindles the bonfire you're currently spawning from, you'll get an extra flask. I think it happens with ratings too but I never bothered with those.

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

You must of kindled the bonfire you were at a few times. It raises your number of flasks when you rest there.

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

I had a real hard time with the three kings. It probably took me 7-10 tries. The Catacombs/TotG was cake after you get the lantern.

If you're really hating the Centipede, you can skip it all...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

There's no easy way to get titanite chunks. You either have to wait until the very last area of the game, where 2 enemies will have a 100% drop rate or go to New Londo. Once you drain it, there are...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

A +5 Lightning Uchigatana will take out pretty much anything without trouble. It was the weapon I used through the areas after Anor.

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

You mean the two guys with the dragon bows? Do you have a bow you can use to take them out before walking up the ledge? The only one you need to worry about is the guy on the right. Take him out and...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

Sunbro definitely helps since you're against 2 bosses at once. If you go that route, I suggest disconnecting from online. Anor is notorious for being invaded by dragon head glitchers (not sure if...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

Good luck; they're by far the hardest boss in the game. Make sure you have something that deals fire damage (upgraded Pryo hands is the best or the sword you can make using the soul from the...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

There are only a few fire keeper souls in the game. There's one in New Londo Ruins; the only others I can think of are the ones you get if you kill a firekeeper (the one in Anor by the bonfire and...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

Sen's will be tough until you find the Lightning Spear in there. That will make the snake guys much easier to take out. It's not too far past the bridge you mentioned.

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

Finally finished this one up and just rang the 2nd bell on a NG+. Much easier the 2nd time through with the shortcuts you can take. I was able to skip the taurus demon and the whole Parish area by...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

This game is much bigger than Demon's. My last save on that game was already in a NG+ at 42 hours with a level 85 character. I just passed 55 hours in DS, my character is level 73, and I still have 3...

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

Which item is that? I haven't killed the demon but I've gotten the doll and whatever item was behind the locked door (which could be what you're talking about, I can't remember what it was).

Re: Official Dark Souls Support Group - Spoilers Inside

Oh, so did you go to Valley of the Drakes by way of Darkroot Basin? The full shortcut is to get there through New Londo Ruins, which requires the Master Key or the key you find at the end of...
