Re: A Very Brady Renovation - HGTV

Did anyone else think that the LA film office guy giving the speech was the Cousin Oliver actor just from his looks?

Also the commercial break ďrevealĒ for the UCLA marching band that was...

Re: Tenet (2020, D: Christopher Nolan) Washington, Pattinson, Debicki

We know it was compelling enough for John David Washington to read the script and agree to star...which means it canít be worse than Ballers. Fuck, Iíve set the bar too low with that train of thought.

Re: Joker (Phillips, 2019) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

This was great. Saw a 70 mm screening, one of my favorite movies of the year so far probably right with Once Upon a Time. Loved the production design, everybody was great, including Phoenix obviously.

Re: Downton Abbey (2019, W: Fellows, D: Percival) S: Smith, Dockery, Bonneville, etc.

Saw the preview screening last week after having gone to the exhibit two weekends ago, which was a great little jolt before the movie. This was pretty much everything a fan could want, short of...

Re: It: Chapter 2 (Muschietti, 2019) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Like others, thought it was okay. And like the 1990 version, all the other Losers (except for the ones who died) should have gotten down on their knees and bowed down to Mike for doing 100% of the...

Re: Does anybody else watch Antenna TV? It's got Carson episodes every night.

Anybody still watching these? Unfortunately my area no longer gets Antenna TV, so Iím missing out. And they still have what seems to be a good lineup of other shows like Welcome Back Kotter, Soap,...

Re: Olive Garden Never Ending Pasta Pass

I got one. I donít think Iíve been to an Olive Garden before, but why the hell not. Itís probably a 20 - 30 min drive, so not ideal on weekdays, but Iíll be there on weekends. Itís near a an AMC, so...

Were long term bar tabs ever common or popular (like Norm on Cheers)?

Iím talking about running a tab over a period of multiple visits to a bar. Iím wondering whether this method of payment was ever that common at bars (for regulars). Anyone ever done this years ago?

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Tarantino, 2019) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

It reminds me of those individual news articles that come out when anyone with moderate success gets cast in a big movie (which is probably due to the actors publicist pushing for it). There was an...

Re: The VINYL Thread!

Iím still holding out for a Midnite Vultures reissue, but in the meantime, I ordered some of the singles off the album. At least I get some B Sides out of it.

Also pre-ordered the soundtrack to...

Re: Toy Story 4 (Cooley, 2019) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I mostly enjoyed it, but holy shit, enough with ďLetís split up Woody and Buzz, and turn Buzz into a moronĒ for most of the movie.

TS2: At least Buzz is a leader to try to rescue Woody, but then...

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Tarantino, 2019) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I donít think the claims that Tarantino is not a fan of Bruce Lee are warranted. He was quoted during the time of Kill Bill saying if Lee were still alive, he would have been cast in Kill Bill.

Re: Thor: Love and Thunder (2021, D: Waititi) - News, Cast, Rumors

Also, back in 2011, who would have thought that Thor would be the first character in the MCU to get to four solo movies? Glad that Chris Hemsworth is game to play the role for a while.

I saw a double feature of The Stunt Man and Hooper a few nights ago.

The theater was showing them as a sort of lead in to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Damn, why didnít anyone tell me Hooper was that entertaining? I would have seen it a lot sooner  At least I...

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Tarantino, 2019) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I heard itís $40, which is a bit like RSD pricing, but makes sense for the exclusive. Will probably be lower with the other editions later.

Re: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (Tarantino, 2019) ó The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

My local theater had a double feature of The Stunt Man and Hooper last night, and I felt that was some nice preparation for this. Just got back from a screening in 35 mm.

All the detail with...

Re: Walt Disney Animated Classics 2019 Blu-ray releases

Well even if most of them are out, are they easily buyable? The Saludos Amigos/Three Caballeros art is third party $48 on Amazon. That might have been a DMR one.
