Re: Why do people hate on Arby's?*

I also like the Arby's gyro--it's a good option and makes Arby's unique. I mean, it is to gyros what Arby's is to roast beef, but it's pretty tasty for fast food.

I like McDonalds, too, but I...

Re: How Do You Sleep At Night?! a.k.a. The Mattress Thread

.Mattress topper came (2" soft latex from Sleep on Latex--kudos to them listening to my issues and not trying to upsell me). I think the topper makes the Big Fig perfect now--very supportive but...

Re: Ash covers Oregon cities, wildfire smoke chokes US West

It's clearing up where I am, but there was very low visibility earlier. I think maybe it was a mix of fog with smoke. AQI is 427. Hoping the fog clears it up some, but I'm not sure it works that way....

Re: Ash covers Oregon cities, wildfire smoke chokes US West

I drove to Salem yesterday to pick up my 22 year old son who evacuated from the beachie creek fire. The drive was surreal--varying degrees of dust and dark brown sky. The sun just a red disk. My son...

Re: Why do people hate on Arby's?*

I don't get it. Nothing wrong with a delicious Arby's sandwich and some jalapeno poppers. Their bronco berry sauce, horsey sauce. and honey mustard are the best fast food sauces imo.

Re: Last thing you bought...

Bought this large mortar and 2 pestle set for making better Thai and Mexican food. It's big almost 20 pounds and holds 5 cups.

Re: How Do You Sleep At Night?! a.k.a. The Mattress Thread

I'm liking it, and my back feels good but wishing it was a little softer now. We ordered a 2" dunlop latex topper to see if that helps. The Big Fig has good support and seems like it will last. I...

Re: Dr, Dre Spousal Support

I love how charitable she is.

I could improve her list by adding "Lessons from tasha99 on how to economize for $14999 per month." :D

Re: The Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

:grouphug: :grouphug: :toast:

I think Facebook just sucks right now. I was unhappy with it because so many of my friends seemed angry and extreme all the time. I just wanted to see pics of...

Re: Elderly Father in Law is Going to Screw His Life Up

Omg, that's terrible! Talk to a lawyer. I think that housing provided by employment is somewhat different from regular housing in that it's much easier and faster to get someone out. At least I...

Re: COVID-19 POLITICAL Thread

Nope, I'm serious. I expect lawmakers to follow the law. I know she's not the first, but I'm disappointed to see her do that over something as trivial as a haircut.
(Maybe monstrous was too harsh a...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

I have, but I don't really remember what breathing out was like (not paying attention, because it wasn't noteworthy back then.). It had a valve in the front, though, which would let me exhale to the...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

But this is obvious. The CDC is spelling it out for people. Those masks are respirators made for people working in construction, where they're around small particles. They are easier to breathe out...

Re: COVID-19 NON-POLITICAL Thread

Are they backing off of masks? Some of their guidelines seem so obvious--don't wear a mask with an exhalation valve. Duh--the point of a mask is mainly to keep from spreading germs, and a valve on...

Re: The Official Trump Presidency Thread, Part 3

I don't get the hate for this kid. He was misrepresented initially, and was basically just standing there with a goofy, very punchable look on his face. I started realizing how toxic Facebook is...

Re: How Do You Sleep At Night?! a.k.a. The Mattress Thread

I've had my new mattress for a few days now, and like it a lot. It's a Big Fig mattress--aka one designed for fat people, and a king was $1700 with a coupon, including the foundation. We aren't...

Re: What's your favorite Keanu Reeves trilogy?

The Matrix is the best movie of the bunch, but the sequels killed that trilogy. I voted for John Wick--first was my favorite, but I enjoyed 2 and 3.

Re: Sheets: 100% cotton versus Microfiber cotton/poly blends

The use of a/c and fans. Back in the day, I kept the house at 65 in the summer and 55 in the winter, much to the dismay of my kids. I'm getting older now (actually feel cold sometimes), and have a...

Re: Sheets: 100% cotton versus Microfiber cotton/poly blends

I sleep on good quality flannel sheets year round.

If you're looking for affordable sheets, Costco has 100% cotton sheets for around $40-$45 per set right now.
