Re: Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection on Amazion.UK for Aprox $37

I don't understand window boxing. All it does is force me to try to adjust my set-up to counteract it. Un-window boxed transfers do not cause any problems. Why is it used?

Re: B&N 50% off Criterion blu-ray sale begins July 9th

Does anyone know why Kenji Mizoguchi's Fallen Women - Eclipse Series 13, is only available from the "marketplace" and not on sale? It's not listed as out of print on the Criterion website?

Re: Amazon Black Friday Deals

Very disappointed that the MPI Sherlock Holmes Blu-ray box set that was advertised for $35 never dropped below $50. I checked numerous times during the slotted time on Saturday.

Re: Question concerning the wave of make to order DVD-R's

I've been renting MOD's from ClassicFlix for about a year now. They have most everything pre-1970 available to rent from all of the studios. At $26.99/month, I've been getting about 12 per month,...

Re: Do some people try to collect all titles from a studio?

I own every catalog title (pre 1980) from Paramount, Columbia and MGM, most from Universal and WB...although with the Archive it's tough to keep up with WB now.

Re: The 1st Annual DVDTalk Action/Adventure/Crime Challenge - March 1st - 31st, 2012

Someone needs to come up with a website devoted exclusively to the "challenge" concept. Millions to be made.

Re: The 6th Annual Academy Award Challenge (1/26 - 2/26)

The Noel Coward Songbook CD starts at $1.87 used, pennies on eBay. If you want to pay $80 for some shrink wrap, be my guest.

Re: The 6th Annual Academy Award Challenge (1/26 - 2/26)

I always thought the start/stop dates for this challenge were kind of awkward. Why not just make it the entire month of February?

Re: What movies would you have bought if they were on DVD instead of DVD-R?

I was thinking about MODs today. I have way too many, and just bought more in the one day WAC sale when they were $10 each. I worry that one day these MOD programs may be discontinued. Inevitably the...

Re: Warner Archive 5 for $50 sale for Columbus Day
