Re: Who do you consider to be the best 10 actors of the last 50 years?

Don Cheadle
Philip Seymour Hoffman
Anthony Hopkins
Russell Crowe
Keith David
Denzel Washington
Christian Bale

I know, not 10 but I am sticking to the last 50 years (1970 on)

Is "Master & Commander" still the ultimate demo disc?

For years, M&C was considered the go-to disc for showing off your pimp surround sound system. I attended a few CES shows and DTS were using it as their demo disc.

I have bought very few DVDs in...

Re: Name Your Top Five Reality Shows of all Time

Yeah on reflection it wasn't a true reality show, more like a documentary series. But I liked it better than Ice Road Truckers and American Pickers.

Re: Name Your Top Five Reality Shows of all Time

Deadliest Catch
Gold Rush
Life After People
Duck Dynasty (before it became really staged)
Storage Wars (let's face it there was one reason to watch Storage Wars. No, two)

Re: What movies are among your favorites that no one else ever talks about?

IMO, his last good movie (and the best plane crash scene ever)

What channel that drifted from its original mission disappointed you the most?

Talk of mission drift in my Travel Channel thread got me to thinking what cable channel's drift from its original mission is most disappointing to an original viewer. Not who drifted the furthest but...

Re: What the hell happened to The Travel Channel?

I'm a little surprised History hasn't rerun "Life After People," considering all the stories of how animals reclaimed areas abandoned during the lockdown. That show proved rather accurate.

Re: What the hell happened to The Travel Channel?

I remember when Bravo was a high brow arthouse movie channel. Now it's the "Real" Housewives channel. What a fall from grace

What the hell happened to The Travel Channel?

It's now the paranormal/ghost channel. Nothing but metaphysical/ghost shows. Food shows like Bizarre Foods and Man v Food no longer exist. I just realized this now but it has been going on a while, I...

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Anything requiring a current WWE employee would be a no go, like the planeride from hell. Ditto Chyna. HHH is at the center of that story and he won't talk.

Re: Songs destroyed by TV or movie association

Songs destroyed by TV or movie association

What songs got ruined for you because of a crushing, traumatizing scene in a movie or TV show? For me it's two, plus an honorable mention.

1) "Battleflag," Lo Fidelity All Stars, "ER." That song...
