Re: Who was actually the worst kid visiting Wonka's factory?

Yeah, I never understood why he was always in bed. Sure he was old but seemed to get around okay in the Chocolate Factory. He would rather smell like piss and smoke than get his ass out of bed the...

Re: IYO: Have there been any movies since 1997 that you would consider a “classic”?

Well I read all of the posts and didn't recall it being mentioned, would still include them.

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

The creators of this show do a weekly podcast after every show with Conrad Thompson. They tried to get Bret but he wouldn't return their calls perhaps because how he was portrayed last year for their...

Re: The 2020 Pro Wrestling Thread!

He probably didn't do it many times as I originally stated but saw it while watching a ppv from 2000 recently on the Network when he faced the Demon....

Re: The 2020 Pro Wrestling Thread!

Sting did that stunt many times after Owen's death. Stopped for a while but it wasn't permanent.

Re: The 2020 Pro Wrestling Thread!

When Bret left I think WWF treated the rest of the family fairly well. If they wanted to leave then WWF let them out of their contract and in Owen's case they gave him a substantial raise. Owen's...

Re: The Mandalorian -- Star Wars -- News, rumors, etc. -- possible spoilers

I think a lot of fans can reflect back and see there was a worthy story to tell with the prequels but the execution wasn't that great. Filoni has made the prequel era material at least somewhat...

Re: The 2020 Pro Wrestling Thread!

I actually don't think it is bad timing to leave with the pandemic going on and limited attendance in the immediate future. Her character was on a downturn as well hardly ever defending the title and...

Re: The 2020 Pro Wrestling Thread!

The shorter PPV was welcome. Thought they did a decent job with the Money in the Bank Match, must have been fairly difficult to produce and edit. The Championship matches and Money in the Bank were...

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

Never saw it when it originally aired but at some point it aired on ESPN Classic or something similar and I watched some of the episodes. The stuff with Mick Foley may have been good because he...

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Final Season on Disney+ - premieres 2/21/20

That is all I did. Kids were sometimes watching the other episodes in the background but never interested me. 9-12 could have been a separate movie they put on Disney+.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Final Season on Disney+ - premieres 2/21/20

I have never really been a big Clone Wars fan and the prequels may have been part of the lack of interest but these last few episodes were really good. After this I was even interested in seeing...

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

I always found it odd how far Schultz went to protect the business when he was basically blackballed and done at 30. He continued to show up on talk shows/interview segments like Donahue and Morton...

Re: The 2020 Pro Wrestling Thread!

I also find it hard to believe that Vince will ever sell. However he must be thinking what he will do once he dies as the estate taxes on his ownership will be huge. Might make more sense to sell at...

Re: Rambo: Last Blood (Grunberg, 2019) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

I think this movie was fine for what it is, which is a revenge flick. Rambo now is so far removed from the original Rambo from 40 years ago but that ship sailed long ago so it doesn't bother me with...

Re: The Way Back (2020, D: Gavin O’Connor) S: Ben Affleck

It exceeded my expectations. Have seen tons of sports underdog stories and this took a different path than most. Didn't realize how long I was watching but was expecting the credits to roll shortly...

Re: Is it going to be weird not to have a summer blockbuster season? (2020)

Yes, but more so because it is one of the many things I like to do with my kids during the summer. Enjoy going to the movies on a hot humid day, also take in the drive in 2-3 times during the summer.

Re: The 2020 Pro Wrestling Thread!

WTF, you are the one defending a murderer. I know plenty about CTE and it's still a poor excuse when trying to defend killing your family. Benoit was doing tons of other bad things like self...

Re: The 2020 Pro Wrestling Thread!

I don't consider Benoit a tragic figure as plenty of people have a ton of bad things happen in their life and they don't turn to murdering their spouse and son, screw him. Snuka should have never...

Re: Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland

WWE did mention the winner would face Austin so too bad for Gunn he didn't get one high profile match. Not mentioned in the documentary but an angle with Dr Death and Gunn with Ross turning heel did...

Re: The Big Show Show (Netflix) -- premieres 4/6/20

Saw the first couple of episodes as my kids like wrestling and wanted to watch it. Not surprising that the guy who played Urkel is in it as I could see this being the type of show on TGIF in the...
