Re: The Apple Thread

I upgraded to iOS 15 tonight. So far I donít notice many huge differences. A few things look slightly different. Maybe I donít use my phone the same way as others to really notice a big change.

Re: Halloween Kills (2021) / Halloween Ends (2022) - D: Green

I think for me the difference seems to be the tone. The 2018 film kind of took itself too seriously. To me Halloween Kills looks a little more crazy, and over the top. Even not liking the previous...

Re: Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Paramount +) -- News and Rumors

I like the sounds of that. Character development is definitely a good thing, but I far prefer the episodic approach for Star Trek.

Re: Halloween Kills (2021) / Halloween Ends (2022) - D: Green

Yeah, if only the original film is being taken into account Laurie is pretty crazy in the 2018 film.

I get that trauma can live with a person, but if it had that much of an effect on her then I...

Re: Halloween Kills (2021) / Halloween Ends (2022) - D: Green

I mean sure, but the new films are essentially still cheating that relationship even though they claim to want to wipe it away. My opinion is that Jamie Lee Curtis/Laurie should have been left out...

Re: Halloween Kills (2021) / Halloween Ends (2022) - D: Green

I still think itís stupid how the filmmakers justify a new timeline, but yet other than making Michael and Laurie unrelated heís still essentially going after her, and now also Tommy and Lindsey. ...

Re: Halloween Kills (2021) / Halloween Ends (2022) - D: Green

Yeah, Iím not sure why the marketing for this film seems intent on spoiling a bunch of it.

Re: Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021, D: Serkis) - News, Rumors, Cast

Yeah, totally agreed. The first movie almost felt like it was made in the early 2000s, and was unreleased until 2018. I didnít mind it for what it was, but it was really just alright. More of a...

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

That Rampage episode has too many tag team matches in my opinion.

Re: Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021, D: Serkis) - News, Rumors, Cast

Yeah, pretty much. Thatís kind of what I mean. That and itís more of the Eddie Brock/Venom comedy hour. I dunno. Just looks alright. I liked the first film, but it wasnít outstanding or anything.

Re: Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021, D: Serkis) - News, Rumors, Cast

Part of me feels like Iíve already seen the movie just based on the trailers. Obviously not the story in full, but it feels a lot like the first film only with Carnage inserted.

Re: Shang-Chi & the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021, D: Cretton) -- S: Liu, Leung - The Spoiler Reviews Thr

Saw it tonight. I thought it was alright overall. I liked the characters for the most part. I felt the filmís length at a certain point though.

I feel like the first half or so is way better...

Re: The last Blu-ray you bought (Round 3)

I own that double feature set. Bad Dreams is okay from what I remember. Itís a lot like A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors in certain ways, but has its own twist. Pretty fun little slasher....

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I had obviously heard about The Plane Ride From Hell incident before, but I donít think Iíve heard the Flair part of it. I mostly knew about the drunkenness on behalf of many on board, and Mr....

Re: Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Paramount +) -- News and Rumors

Regarding Spock and Uhura, it doesnít really bother me, but I donít know why itís such a sticking point since the Kelvin films.

Other than a couple moments of mild flirting in TOS it was never...

Re: Pluto TV (Roku) - "The best channel you're not yet watching"

I think Pluto is pretty cool for what it is. Sure itís ad based, but seeing that itís free it doesnít bother me much. Itís a pretty good little service in my opinion. I like their specialty channels...

Re: Joker 2 (D: Phillips) S: Phoenix

I think a sequel would be better without Phoenix or if heís involved donít have him be the Arthur Fleck Joker. Make Joker films that are anthology type, and that are unrelated to each other.

Go...

Re: What is your most anticipated movie coming in October 2021?

Halloween Kills
The Many Saints of Newark
No Time to Die
Venom: Let There Be Carnage

I didnít particularly like the 2018 Halloween, but the closer it gets the more Iím anticipating Halloween...

Makes this slightly more interesting in my...

Re: The 2021 Pro Wrestling Thread.

I donít see why he would relinquish the title over a fake injury/brand switch rather than just dropping it to someone. My guess is that heís really injured again. Then again this is WWE and weird...

Wow that sucks for Joe. Comes back to in-ring action after a long absence, and gets injured again.

Re: Aquaman: King of Atlantis Animated Mini-Series (P: James Wan) -- HBO Max

No idea what to make of that. Looks like a bit like Teen Titans Go! mixed with SpongeBob SquarePants, but even more bizarre, and with crappy animation.
