Re: Random Bicycle Thread

I agree completely regarding other local businesses. The only thing I would add, would be that some of the local bike shops I've dealt with appear to construct barriers to entry.

Re: Random Bicycle Thread

Mini update and rant:

First, thanks again to everyone. There is so much information out there but hearing from experienced people I trust and possess many similar characteristics is most helpful,...

Re: Potato chips and other snacks - reviewed

Thank you! While regular Tostitos would not be my preferred choice, they are better than some alternatives. I appreciate the link since I did not know these bags existed.

Look...

Re: Potato chips and other snacks - reviewed

I'll contribute before asking/venting.

Crunchy Simply Cheetos White Cheddar are pretty good, and about the snack I'll eat besides plain pretzel and tortilla chips.

Which brings to mind the...

Re: COVID-19 POLITICAL Thread

Sure, no argument. But come on, Physics, and Math because Math, have had a great impact and influence on Biology. I won't, and really can't, comment on psychology, because it's psychology.

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

I actually happened to catch that live, But giving him credit, he recovered quickly.

Can't say the same for most of the Buckeye fandom. It's pretty brutal right now, at least judging from my...

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

Thanks for the well wishes. I hope, and presume, you had a wonderful time in Ann Arbor. How was the atmosphere in general?

We have season tickets and go to most games, so our record is...

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

So, the wife talked us into using our tickets for today's game. Will let you know if I catch the Covid.

Aside from my virus worries, it is pretty awesome to be here after so long.

Re: The Tennis Thread

Forgive the comparison, but I watched a bit of the Final Four semifinals and came away thinking Gonzaga couldn't play with Baylor if both played to their levels. However, I don't watch college...

Re: Random Bicycle Thread

Thanks for the suggestions and encouragement. I am back off the ledge. Since I also plan on using a trainer quite a bit, I think I will be able to practice enough to get used to them. In the...

Re: My Marriage May Be Over....Need Advice :(

Going back to something I posed much earlier, I think we are missing key elements here. I wonder if either of these two "parents" have the capability to be responsibly mature. The actions and...

Re: Random Bicycle Thread

So, before reading the last few replies here, sans bcd's, I was convinced to go clipless and 3-bolt. Everybody I talk to, friends and acquaintances who bike, bike mechanics, and seemingly...

Re: NFL 2021 Season Week 1 Thread

That constitutes a large portion of my thoughts, but there is more. I don't have the same thoughts regarding winning and championships as many fans do. Style of play, development, and identity...

Re: NFL 2021 Season Week 1 Thread

I certainly get why folks, in Iowa for example, may choose to root for the Cowboys. But if you have a team that is in "your area" and your parents did not move from elsewhere and bring their fandom,...

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

Not an FSU fan, but huge thumbsup to McKenzie Milton! Came in after a big hit to FSU starter and drove the Noles down the field for a touchdown. Incredible, unbelievable comeback.

And FSU has a...

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

They returned 3 starters.

But they weren't good last year, exposed by the quality teams they played.

And yes UCLA did. Early class of the conference with transferable strengths.

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

Georgia is good, but this anemic offense is not going to go undefeated, unless there are major improvements. Somebody, even with their weak schedule, will trip them up.

And Clemson is not going...

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

Repeated PI calls may bail Clemson out. May.

But DJ locks onto to his first read so blatantly and is so slow to pull the trigger I question if they can sustain a drive.

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

And A&M has put up 10 whole first half points against Kent State.

Bama might win every regular season game by 25+.

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

Yes, interesting but a shit show. It's why I hoped for the tying touchdown and missed XP.

Speaking of shit show, man these Clemson and Georgia offenses are bad. I knew Daniels was not very...

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

Meanwhile, Alabama is still really good, Miami still is not, and Kayvon Thibodeaux likely has played his last game for Oregon. Went out with an ankle injury and was wearing a walking boot. Why risk...

Re: College football 2021 hopefully COVID free edition

I was wrong. They do have the 4 best in the conference. Maybe the McCarthy kid at michigan would be 4th on the Buckeyes depth chart. Penix has taken himself out of any conversation about...
