Re: Novelizations of films based on books

I took a quick look at my bookshelves when I got home, and there were also novelizations of Batman: No Man's Land by Greg Rucca and Kingdom Come by Elliot S. Maggin. Also, Robert Kirkman's name is on...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I never thought of Jaws as a horror film until it was mentioned here a few years back. I don't disagree that it fits. I just never thought about it before. As for being contentious, if what I saw on...

Re: Novelizations of films based on books

DC has definitely done this. Off the top of my head, there's The Death and Life of Superman by Roger Stern, Knightfall by Dennis O'Neil, Crisis on Infinite Earths by Marv Wolfman, and 52: The Novel...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

I gave up on the theme nights and subset list a few years back after watching some subset movie (don't recall what it was) that I didn't think had anything to do with that day's theme (which I also...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

As stated, IMDb isn't perfect. It's a good guide, but ultimately you should just watch whatever the hell feels right to you, and don't worry what other people watch (other than to get suggestions for...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Yeah, there was no way I was going to try to check off all of those movies individually. I had to split up the download file into smaller files to get letterboxd to accept it, and I screwed up the...

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

All the talk about letterboxd convinced me to look into it. I use icheckmovies to keep track of what I watch, but I don't like the idea of keeping all my eggs in one basket (and losing all that data...

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 17: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 17: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)
