Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I believe the new, easier character is Funky Kong, his first time being playable.

I need to dust off the Wii U to see if I already played this game... I really can't remember

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

No, the variety pack comes with 28 cardboard sheets and a couple accessory bags, which includes things like the grommets and string for the fishing toy and most importantly the reflective stickers...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

No, I wouldn't agree... A Switch game is a high-tech microelectronics SD card or something. The Labo stuff is again, literally paper cut in fancy ways. The development of the designs etc. no doubt...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I hope people see the possibilities outside of just cardboard Labo toys. The concept is that modern controllers are advanced enough to be used in creative ways. I'm envisioning a maker community that...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

"considering how much manufacturing must be involved"? It's literally cardboard, and Nintendo has manufacturing experience churning out 3DSs and Switches... I think they can handle it.

I had a...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

I've mostly done digital downloads since the Wii U and 3DS. Zelda + DLC kills a lot of space. I've also installed Mario and multiple demos and a couple 3rd party games. I did run out of space trying...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey (Oct 27,2017)- Official Thread

Maybe two or three moons. One for playthrough strategy on one of the dark side doors you had to do without cappy and one for finding an artwork moon that I was struggling with (The "KEEP" one by the...

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch

Doesn't seem normal. I've never had the issue. They seem pretty securely fastened until I press the release button.

Re: Super Mario Odyssey (Oct 27,2017)- Official Thread

Side note... is there anywhere we can exchange Switch friend codes on this forum? I didn't see it in any of the sticky threads

Re: Super Mario Odyssey (Oct 27,2017)- Official Thread

I've collected all but 3 purple coins in the game, but for some reason I can't find the last ones in Bowser's Castle

Re: Super Mario Odyssey (Oct 27,2017)- Official Thread

I haven't seen Luigi, but after you beat Bowser (and maybe have collected enough moons) a Luigi costume for Mario is unlocked for purchase at the shop

Re: Super Mario Odyssey (Oct 27,2017)- Official Thread

I think there's an option to turn off motion controls... I'm surprised you didn't check that first

Re: Super Mario Odyssey (Oct 27,2017)- Official Thread

A good skill to practice is the jump/dive/cap jump combo:

Run and jump (triple, long, whatever), throw cappy (direction+Y), then immediately dive (LZ+Y). The dive should land you onto the cap for...

Re: Super Mario Odyssey (Oct 27,2017)- Official Thread

It feels a bit strange to blow up taxis in a metro area with a tank in a Mario game, but it's fun.

Re: Super Mario Odyssey (Oct 27,2017)- Official Thread

This game does use motion controls in single player with both controllers, but you can probably get by without using them.

Re: Blade Runner 2049 (Villeneuve, 2017) — The Spoiler Filled Reviews Thread

Re: Nintendo Announces 3DS - 3D w/o Glasses!

I really liked the original, so I'm enjoying it so far. The gyro controls in the mini games can be a little tricky, but I think they work. All the times I've encountered them, you're able to go back...
